Let's support Joyce. This story is very painful 😭😭

SOMETIMES, PAIN CAN MAKE YOU QUESTION GOD!

Joyce was a wife to a wonderful gentleman and mother to amazing 3 children. During one of the holidays several years back, they were to leave the village and return to the city. She decided to stay back with her daughter and come back to the city the following day. However, the husband and their two other children hit the road for Nairobi.

Sadly, when they reached Narok, just before Suswa, they were swept away by the notorious Narok flash floods. Flash floods occur when rains are overwhelming and so as the water goes downhill, it gains momentum, carrying along with it massive debris including huge boulders, trees etc. As they drove past what looked as just some kidogo water that they drive through, they were swept away and the vehicle was only found several days later further down the winding path of that ‘river’.

Their car had been tossed on the massive rocks and debris in the waters, and as they tried to secure themselves by closing windows, they all sadly suffocated and died. When they were found, the water in the car and impact because of the flood had truly spoilt the bodies.

The heartbroken widow mourned deeply. How could she deal with the loss of a spouse and children who were in perfect health, and now lose them in a jiffy?!! PAIN!!!

When the mother of Joyce heard about the loss of her son-in-law and grandchildren, she was heartbroken for her daughter Joyce who would now be a widow unexpectedly. The mother had herself been unwell before all this, but was holding up alright. Here she was now, wondering how her daughter would deal with this. No warning of illness or anything. After burying the son-in-law and grandchildren, Joyce’s mother illness got worse. 6 months later, she died. 😭😭😭 Double PAIN!!!

When Joyce’s mum died, I don’t want to imagine the pain she went through. I guess pain gets you to a point you become numb. You have borne it so deeply and so closely that your tears are totally spent. It’s like puking when you have eaten nothing for many days. You feel pain in your stomach with each attempt to throw up, but nothing comes out and it’s just painful. PAIN!! Raw PAIN!!

Yet that’s not all, when Joyce’s dad heard that his wife (Joyce mum) had died, he was shocked, collapsed and died too. Yes, this is not a movie. Ei!!! This is true life story. PAIN!!! How does one deal with such pain??? You look at such pain, juxtaposed against your pain of loses, and realize that PAIN can be cruel and that our pains are deep, but some are far deeper and more hurtful. 😢😢😢

I am not going to even try and talk about Joyce’s pain when the dad fell and died. But for Christ our Redeemer, Joyce wore this pain with grace, trusting in the morning when we shall meet loved ones again on the glassy sea.

Here she was now, a widow, an orphan and with one child remaining. Georgina. A beautiful girl with passion for Christ. They are both members of my church Lavington SDA Church. Joyce is a choir member. The daughter is active in the clubs for young people.

During the Christmas festivities, mummy and daughter went to Mombasa for crossover vacation. They dot on each other quite a lot. So they booked an apartment for their staycation. Sadly, while cooking a meal one morning, the boilers exploded on them both, throwing them to the ground and burning them severely! Joyce had 40% burns and the little girl 60%! This is two weeks ago. TWO WEEKS AGO YAWA!!!

How does one deal with all that PAIN??? How does a lady who is merely in her 40s handle all that!!! How God? Pimna Nyasaye Wuora!!!

Joyce and the daughter were evacuated and flown to Nairobi for immediate medical care. They have been admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital - Burns Unit, unable to do anything. Friends have been and continue to donate blood and cash to support them.

This morning, Georgina, the daughter of Joyce, a student at Alliance Girls High School, lost the battle. The only remaining child has DIED! 😭😭😭😭 Yes, I said just that. Our little girl has died!!! Oh God. Are you there midst such PAIN??? I know you give the grace, but how do we handle such PAIN???

The little one died while her mother was having surgery. When Joyce heard of her daughter’s death after regaining consciousness, she just inconsolably wept and said, ‘I want to die!!’ 😭😭😭

Do me one favor my followers. Please please please PLEASE! The least we can do to alleviate the pain of Joyce is to contribute towards the bills that are accruing. The bill is enormous as they have been accruing an estimated 180k each day. And don’t send to me, please send to this number:

Coca-Cola Surprises Nairobi Commuters with Free Matatu Rides

By Nicholas Kivite

Coca-Cola brought smiles to Nairobi residents on their morning commute by offering free matatu rides to thousands of commuters from Ngara stage to over ten destinations, including Westlands, Uthiru, Kangemi, Limuru, and Wangige.

The initiative, dubbed the "Javv na Coke" campaign, kicked off at 6 a.m. when the Coca-Cola team announced that passengers could enjoy free rides by purchasing a Coke for just Ksh 20 in a returnable bottle, regardless of the fare to their destinations.

Commuters expressed joy and gratitude for the initiative, which provided much-needed financial relief during the typically tough January period.

“God is great! I usually pay Ksh 120 to travel to Limuru and back, but today, I saved that money and got a Coke instead,” said Florence Waweru, a delighted commuter.

Another commuter, Ms. Joyce Akinyi, a vendor from Wangige, shared her experience: “I saved Ksh 40 after Coca-Cola paid my fare. This initiative is a blessing, especially in January when expenses are high.”

Justus Ndunda, who travels regularly between Ngara and Limuru, added: “I heard about the campaign at the stage and grabbed the chance. I usually spend Ksh 60, but today, I saved Ksh 40 and enjoyed a refreshing Coke.”

Although it is unclear if Coca-Cola will extend the Javv na Coke campaign to other stages in Nairobi, the initiative has left many hoping for more such surprises in the future.

KAKI MUST GO IN 2027! I want you to compare these two photos here and share your comment after reading this post.

MP Kaki has allegedly conducted a SECRET CDF public participation in Ikanga and Iluusya today!

As a Kitui South resident I'm wondering why was the CDF public participation not publicized?? The last time I checked the MCA and Ward Administrator had created awareness of the county public participation forum online and offline, may someone please show me a single post that announced the purported today's CDF public participation?

Why was it conducted in secret, tutabebwa ufala hadi lini eti watu wanaokotwa siku ya public participation bila ujumbe??

Breaking News! Three confirmed dead following today's fatal accident at Ikanga market

By Nicholas Kivite

Three of the five victims of the Ikanga
market-boxing day fatal accident have succumbed to critical head injuries while undergoing treatment at Kitui County Referral Hospital this evening.

The accident occurred after a brand new car heading in the Mutomo direction knocked down a motorbike crossing the road from the Boda boda shade near the Kitui stage leaving five people with critical injuries.

According to the eyewitnesses, four were family members; the cyclist, his sister in-law and her two children. The fiveth victim was a female pedestrian who was knocked down by the car after losing control. The five were taken to Ikanga level IV hospital for medication and later transferred to Kitui County Referral Hospital.

The cyclist, his sister in-law and her lastborn have died while undergoing treatment while the elder son and the pedestrian are fighting for their lives.

The car could have cost more harm were it not for a lorry parked alongside the road which was seriously damaged by the car, however, it helped minimise more harm as the car stopped instantly after hitting it. Were it not for the lorry, the car could have hit the small scale traders who sell their commodities alongside the road exposing themselves to more risks.

Kitui South residents happy with MCA Sonko after fighting for their son

Majority of the Kitui South residents have expressed their happiness with the Ikanga/Kyatune Ward MCA Hon Cyrus Sonko following his unwavering support and fight against the impeachment motion tabled in the County Assembly against the Kitui County finance minister Peter Mwikya Kilonzo, a bid which has finally collapsed today after lacking a seconder.

Since when the motion was tabled at the assembly by the Kiomo/Kyethani Ward MCA Antony Musyoka, MCA Sonko has always been vocal and firmly against it terming the bid as political and baseless.

On various events within Kitui South, the indefatigable young leader had assured the area residents that he will fight and safe Kilonzo a son of Athi, Kitui South and that the impeachment motion against him will not succeed.

Now following the collapsion of the bid, the residents have celebrated the Ikanga/Kyatune Ward MCA Cyrus Kisavi Musyoka alias Sonko as well as all the Kitui County MCAs who had stood firm against the bill before its withdrawal. With that, now MCA Sonko has just gained much support and following across the Kitui South Constituency after sources revealing that he had influenced more that 40 MCAs to help him safe Kilonzo.
