The Sakaja ~ Muchiri manifesto will be launched on Thursday
Besides Nairobi being the capital city and the backbone of the economy of Kenya, Nairobi City County has the highest number of constituencies in the country at 17 which are further divided into 85 electoral wards.
Putting this into consideration, Super Governor Sakaja Johnson has pledged that his government together with his DG Njoroge Muchiri will invest on modifying the structure and operation of government with the single aim of bringing services closer to the people where they will decentralise Nairobi’s management further.
"To bring services closer to the people, I will decentralize Nairobi city county management further. I will create 5 boroughs and appoint city managers for each as prescribed under the Urban areas and Cities Act in order to deal with the specific needs of every part of the city with DG Njoroge Muchiri as the chief manager. Once Nairobi works Kenya works."
