The verse "Jesus wept." is found in John 11:35, the shortest verse in the Bible. It occurs in the story of Lazarus' death and resurrection.

Summary:

When Jesus arrived at Bethany, Lazarus had already been dead for four days. Martha and Mary, Lazarus’ sisters, were mourning, and many people had gathered to grieve with them. Although Jesus knew He would raise Lazarus from the dead, He was deeply moved by the sorrow around Him. Out of compassion and empathy, He wept.
