We get several questions about IELTS, and we have made some videos to answer your questions. In an effort to provide more valuable information on the IELTS topic, we have reached out to organizations that offer IELTS exams to collaborate but, have not been successful.

We would like to create IELTS content. If you know of any certified organizations or certified IELTS examiners that may be interested, share this post with them and ask them to reach out to us.

Our podcast and our TikTok page are a great source of information for anyone in the research phase or thinking about immigrating to Canada and does not know where to start.

We share from experience, as a Kenyan who has undertaken the Canadian immigration process and successfully relocated and lived in Canada for 5 years.

We are NOT agents or immigration consultants; we share from experience. We advocate that you undertake the immigration process on your own. You can do it, our co-host did it and many people before you have done it.

canada.ca is the official government of Canada website and should be your main source of information. Everything you need to know about Canada and immigrating to Canada is in this website.
Make use it, it is free and open to the public.

The library is a great space especially for newcomers. Some of the useful resources are: internet, printing services, very many books (if you're into that kind of thing) and even free lunch (depending on the branch and day. The library is a great resource, make use of it.

Coffee. A part of Kenyan culture that being abroad reminds you. Kenya grows and exports a lot of coffee, and Canadians looove coffee!☕️
There are so many coffee shops here, what is a Canadian town without a Tim Hortons ?
One day at work, after noticing that I don't join the convoy to the coffee machine once the shift started, a Canadian co-worker asked me why I don't drink coffee. I said I just don't.
He then gave me this look and asked "Aw, did you never start?" That actually made me laugh, it sounded like he was talking about alcohol. 🤣
Anyways, in the video we see coffee go from dried berries (mbuni) to green beans to roasted coffee beans and finally ready-to-brew ground coffee. Wish you could smell it! 🥰

We have an update regarding whether or not you should carry your old Kenyan driving license. This feedback is from one of our listeners currently living in Ottawa, Canada.

She was in the process of converting her old Kenyan driving license this past week and was informed that they no longer recognize the old Kenyan driving license, you need the new one.

Therefore, if you are in the process of relocating to Canada, consider getting the new Kenyan driving license. It is easier to convert your Kenyan driving license to a Canadian one, than going through the process of qualifying for a Canadian driving license.
