Let a kilo of coffee at NCE be bought at $100 per
50 kg bag
Convert the dollar into Kenya currency
100*125=12500 ksh

Now per 50 kg we have 12500
Divide by 50 to obtain per kg
12500/50=250 per kg

The question is
That factory being paid @70 bob .leave alone 34bob
180 bob zimeeda wapi who is this taking all that cash more than the farmer

ENTRY UNIVERSITY EXAM TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY 2022 KCSE CANDIDATES-EXPEETS

2022 KCSE Candidates To Take Entry Exams Before Joining Universities, Experts Advise

Following the rising cases of cheating in the National Examinations, a team of experts have suggested that student who join universities to be subjected to entry exams to determine whether they really earned that grade.

This comes barely a week ago since the Education CS, Ezekiel Machogu and his Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) counterpart David Njengere were grilled by the parliamentary education committee on allegations that the 2022 KCSE exams were married with irregularities.

Some schools have set up CCTV cameras in exam halls that needs to catch candidates red-handed. It has been discovered that as much as the cameras are there, many students still cheat as they don’t carry the leakage physically to the exam room.

This proposal has been put forward by experts as a way of separating those who cheated in exams and those who genuinely scored their grades.
This comes at a time when many students are placed in courses that they don’t have the potential to handle and end up being discontinued from university due to a series of failures in the core units.

The experts argued that the entry exam will not only intend to ascertain a student’s deep understanding of the subjects in question but will also save the government from funding students who don’t merit and hence save the government funds that will be diverted to other sectors.

The experts elaborated that many students drop on the way due to the difficulty of the professional course where they resort to take alternative courses which are cheaper and within their potential.

These students they not only drop on their own volition but universities discontinue them because they are unable to satisfy the University Senate requirements.

It’s 50 years since America withdrew from the Vietnam War and stopped bombing Laos.

But the war’s legacy has left the country littered with unexploded bombs and explosive remnants of war - or UXO as they're often called.

Laos, today a country of just six million people, remains the most heavily bombed country in the world per capita.

More than 20,000 people there have been killed or injured by UXO since the war ended in 1975, and it's still happening today.

THE MODEL MWANGI: EQUITY BANK CEO JAMES MWANGI: TRANSFORM...

James Mwangi, CEO of Equity Bank, has transformed lives and livelihoods throughout East and Central Africa by giving impoverished people access to banking accounts and micro loans. He’s been so successful that in 2020 Forbes coined the term “the Mwangi Model.” But can we really have both purpose and profit in a firm?

Harvard Business School professor Caroline Elkins, who has spent decades studying Africa, explores how this model has become one that business leaders are seeking to replicate throughout the world in her case, “A Marshall Plan for Africa’: James Mwangi and Equity Group Holdings.”As part of a new first-year MBA course at Harvard Business School, this case examines the central question: what is the social purpose of the firm?

CULTS CHARACTERISTICS

Cults followers have unique characteristics of fanatically following to the teachings of a specific person or persons’ misinterpretation of the Bible as contrasted to cults which are groups whose belief is in hidden or secret knowledge that goes beyond the range of ordinary human knowledge that is not necessarily backed by scripture.
Cultic groups use certain practices to acquire such knowledge, which include divination, fortune telling, spiritism, and magic.

Characteristics associated with cults

1. The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the truth, as law.

2. Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.

3. Mind-altering are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).

4. The leadership dictates, sometimes to a great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marry—or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).

5. The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar—or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).

6. The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.

7. The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).

8. The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members’ participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus purposes).

9. The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt in order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.

10. Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.

11. The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.

12. Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.

13. Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.

14. The most loyal members (the “true believers”) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

Under the Bill of Rights, the Constitution of Kenya says that “every person has the right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief and opinion”, and that every Kenyan has the right “to manifest any religion or belief through worship, practice, teaching or observance, including observanceof a day of worship” without restrictions.

The law is, however, silent on the subject of cultism. Finder Online News
