This month’s reciter is Mishary Rashid Alafasy

Mishary bin Rashid Alafasy is a Kuwaiti qāriʾ (reciter of the Quran), Imam, Preacher, & Nasheed artist. He studied in the Islamic University of Madinah's College of Qur'an, specializing in qira'at and tafsir. Alafasy has released nasheed albums. On October 25 2008, Alafasy was awarded the first Arab Creativity Oscar by the Arab Creativity Union in Egypt. The event was in recognition of Alafasy's role in promoting Islamic principles and teachings. Alafasy was also voted by readers to be the Best Qur'an Reciter in the 2012.

Sheikh Abdallah Kamel is blind by birth (1985), but did not allow his physical impairment to define his life.

Instead, he took over it and memorized the entire Qur’an by making use of the Louis Braille system. The Sheikh’s melodious and unfeigned recitation of the Qur’an will stir your heart and will drive you to tears.

He graduated from Al Fayoum University in 2005 and went on to join the faculty of Dar Al Uloom in the same University.

Reciter of the week is Sheikh Ahmad Al-Ajmi, a reciter and Imam born in Khobar Saudi Arabia in 24 February 1968.

Sheikh Ahmad attended elementary school in the Al-Mohammadiya School in southern Khobar, proceeded to Al-Zubair bin Al-Awwam Middle School, then Khobar High school.

After high school, he went to Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in sharia.
