Rest in peace my dear best friend . We're never promised tomorrow I've learned that in a worst way I can't tell you how much it Hurts when right now I'm just trying to push the thoughts away I wish I had an explanation for why things had to end this way but sadly some questions don't have answers and we have to be strong enough to accept it . While I'm internally shattered I have to let things be but I don't think I'll ever fully grasp the fact that you're no longer here with me I've never felt so broken empty and weak .

COMMANDER KENYA AIR FORCE INSPECTS ENGINEER PROJECTS IN NANYUKI AND LAIKIPIA

Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major General John Omenda on Wednesday, 21 September 2022, inspected on-going projects at: Laikipia Air Base (LAB), Nanyuki Barracks, Mount Kenya and Thigithu Primary schools.

The projects, under construction by KDF Engineers Brigade, are part of ongoing preparations for KDF Day 2022.

KDF Day is marked annually on 14th October by Service Personnel to commemorate the sacrifice and valour of the fallen heroes and heroines.

During the visit, Commander KAF inspected construction of a gate and renovation works of classrooms at the schools.

Maj Gen Omenda also inspected renovation works of the Corporal's Mess and accommodation facilities, construction of ladies accommodation, Warrant Officers and Sergeant's mess, Corporal’s and other Ranks Mess, main gate, monument, parade square and aviation hospital among others at the military cantonments.

Speaking to the contractors and foremen at the sites, Maj Gen Omenda applauded the work done so far and urged them to finalize the projects within the shortest time possible. He also emphasized on high quality standards of works during and upon completion of the projects.

Commander KAF was accompanied by Base Commander Laikipia Air Base Brig Mohamud Farah, Brigade Commander Engineers Brigade Brig Swaleh Saidi among other Senior Officers and Officers.

KDF CONDUCTS STATE CEREMONIAL DUTIES DURING INAUGURATION OF KENYA'S FIFTH PRESIDENT AND C-IN-C

On Tuesday, 13 September 2022, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) joined Kenyans and other invited guests to witness and participate in the inauguration of Kenya's Fifth President and Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of KDF at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Main Stadium.

KDF leadership and personnel drawn from the three services of the Kenya Army, the Kenya Air Force and the Kenya Navy conducted various duties towards the success of the inauguration of the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya, HE Dr William Ruto.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) General Robert Kibochi escorted the outgoing C-in-C, President Uhuru Kenyatta, on an inspection of parade with music from the KDF Band.

The CDF also presented the instruments of power to the outgoing C-in-C to handover to the incoming C-in-C. The instruments of power included the C-in-C Sword. The Military Police Personnel were at hand in lowering the outgoing C-in-C's Standard and raised the incoming C-in-C's Standard, following the Oath Taking, signing of documents and exchange of instruments of power.

The KDF personnel performed various ceremonial duties at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in welcoming various dignitaries invited to the occasion as well as providing Aide-De-Camps to the Heads of States invited to the ceremony.

The Maroon Commandos Band entertained guests at the Stadium as well as the KDF Military Band that played some of Kenyan's favourite tunes.

In his inaugural speech, President Ruto thanked the security agencies for maintaining peace during the just concluded national elections and demonstrating heroic sacrifices by going beyond their normal duties.

He promised to continue with the peace initiatives in areas affected by instabilities in the Eastern African and Horn of Africa region.
