President Ruto's Message To Critics:
President William Ruto has reaffirmed his dedication to transforming Kenya before the end of his term in 2027.
During an address in Taita Taveta on Sunday, the President emphasized his unwavering resolve to deliver on his promises despite criticism from opponents.
"I am a man on a mission. I cannot afford to retreat or surrender because we must change this country," he stated. "I sympathize with those who doubt or oppose progress, but Kenya will move forward."
President Ruto highlighted significant achievements in his administration's first two years, citing economic reforms and reductions in the cost of essential goods. He noted that fuel prices have steadily declined over the last five months, signaling positive change.
"We are already witnessing transformation," he said. "I am committed to making Kenya better, and by God’s grace, we will achieve it."
The President outlined key aspects of his agenda, including connecting electricity to 7,000 homes by 2027, advancing the Housing Scheme to provide affordable living, and rolling out universal healthcare through the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF).
He urged Kenyans to ignore criticism from detractors, whom he accused of hindering progress.
However, the President’s leadership has faced scrutiny over allegations of corruption and controversial taxation policies. Critics have also raised concerns about some of his government’s recent legislative measures.
Despite these challenges, President Ruto remains steadfast in his vision, citing structural changes in his administration, such as the formation of a broad-based government, as steps toward achieving his goals.
