Marsabit based Tawheed Scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Sultan was today buried at Marsabit Jirime Cemetery.

The Sheikh passed on on Monday, 13 Rajab 1446/13/January 2025, after very long years propagating and teaching Islam in Marsabit.

The Sheikh is well known for his effort in Teaching Islam in accordance with the Prophetic Methodology and those of the rightly guided Caliphs. He strived against deviant groups in Marsabit in early 90's, successfully spreading the practice of Prophet and righteous predecessors.

He taught all of the current Sunnah Sheikh's in Marsabit, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

MAY ALLAH FORGIVE HIS SHORTCOMINGS & ADMIT HIM TO FIRDAWS.

Abdishakur Mohammed from Markaz al-Huda, Garbatula of Isiolo County emerged the winner in the 30 Juz category of Quran competition beating Isa Ali and Ali Sheqe both from A-Rahmaan Tafidh, Marsabit Central.
In the 15 Juz category, Ali Isack from Al-Bayan Markaz, Majengo of Marsabit Central bagged first position, followed by Abdiaziz Abubakar and Nura Edin of Rahman tahfidh who emerged in second and third positions respectively.
The 10 Juz category saw Suleiman Gufu from Markaz Al-Huda in Garbatula bag first position followed by Muhsin Adan from Al-Bayan in Majengo and Abdirizak Jillo from Rahman tahfidh.
The event, organized by Jamia Mosque Committee of Nairobi was meant to select a winner in all category. The winners are expected to compete at a National event to be held at Jamia Mosque in the Month of Ramadhan.
However, most quarters raised complaints over inclusion of Garbatula Madrasa, Al-Bayan in the competition adding that it was only meant for Madrasas in Marsabit since Same competition for Isiolo will be held on Friday, 20th December.
