On Saturday, April 9, 2011, Stephen Bertrand Munyakho aka Stevo (son of veteran Journalist Dorothy Musopole) and Mujjahid had an altercation at work in Saudi Arabia, which degenerated into a physical fight . Both sustained stab wounds but unfortunately Mujjahid later succumbed.

In the ensuing criminal case, Stephen was sentenced to (5) years in prison.
However, before he had served his term the widow of the late, within her rights, invoked her reciprocal right to revenge and appeal the case at the Shariah court. The family of the late Mujjahid demanded blood Money amounting to Saudi Arabia Riyals (SAR) 3.5 million - a revision from the initial demand of SAR 10 million.

Stevo has been behind bars at Shimeisi prison in Makkah, Saudi Arabia for close to 14 years now. His family has been fundraising to secure his freedom and must urgently raise the remaining 100 million Kenya shillings or their son will be executed.

Julia Wanjiku is a 42-year-old mother of three who has been married for 20 years. Her journey is a compelling one, marked by significant struggles and personal battles. Although she went through a period of alcoholism that lasted 3-4 years, her story is more deeply centered on her experiences with clinical depression, anxiety disorder, and her advocacy against suicíde. Despite losing two jobs due to her addiction, Julie remained active in her church and the Woman's Guild during her toughest times, balancing her roles while dealing with personal turmoil. She also faced endometrial hyperplasia, adding to her challenges. Today, she is committed to raising awareness about mental health and breaking the stigma around depression and anxiety.

Rev. Fredrick Ngugi found himself in unfamiliar waters as a man of the cloth with his twin sons struggling with alcoholism from their teenage years.
