Amounts fairly small for most areas away from the west.

Western areas could well see over 20mm in 24 hours with larger amounts possible on higher ground.

This rain band will push across the country throughout the day.

Rain finally clearing to the East now and drier weather following!

Tomorrow will see a largely dry day with sun expected especially in the afternoon with a few patches of light rain or drizzle! Temperatures are forecast to drop a touch as cooler air pushes in over Ireland.

Not looking too bad until Friday with an unsettled weekend looking likely!

☔️ A low pressure system is forecast to push over Ireland in the early hours.

By morning many areas in the west will be seeing rain and a heavier more persistent band is expected to push in from the west around noon!

Around 30mm is forecast in 24 hours in many high ground areas in the north west and west. Many lower ground areas in the west could see over 20mm in 24 hours.

Further East many areas may only see 1 or 2mm.
