Issued for tomorrow Wednesday 4th and for the rest of the week and over the weekend.
A very windy few days as low pressure systems get pushed towards Ireland from the jet stream.
Tomorrow is set to be a very windy day with gusts well exceeding yellow warning criteria in western coastal counties.
So as there is no warning issued by Met Eireann I am issuing an advisory. Advisory is not a warning just a note of caution for everyone.
Winds will start to increase in the West around 9am tomorrow and quickly pick up quickly. It will start to ease in the late afternoon but still windy in western and exposed areas overnight.
Winds in western coastal are forecast to exceeding 90km/h and in coastal exposed areas exceeding 100km/h. Mean wind speeds exceeding 60km/h and more in exposed areas.
Gusts inland exceeding 80km/h in many areas especially on higher and exposed ground.
Thursday is set to also be a windy and possibly seeing stronger winds as another low pushes through Ireland. On Friday another is set to push past the south possibly bringing windy weather to southern areas.
Saturday into Sunday is also looking very windy and winds turning to more northerly making it feel much colder.
Heavy falls of rain are also forecast with snow on higher ground and thunderstorms possible over the next few days also.
Please take care and secure any outdoor items that are loose.
Thanks,
Nick Critch

Snow is likely to fall in Ireland over the coming days!
Colder air will push over Ireland over the weekend and into Monday.
On Monday, a low-pressure system will move over Ireland, bringing rain and warmer air temporarily to the south of Ireland. Further north, where this rain interacts with the colder air, there is a risk of some accumulations even at lower levels. I will be watching this closely over the coming days, as there is lots of uncertainty about how far south the colder air will push down as this rain band moves through.
This is expected to be followed by heavy showers, which will be very wintry in nature. The highest risk is in the north and west, but showers could well move inland throughout the rest of the week.
I will keep you up to date over the coming days!
