Good morning wonderful people of Muchatha,today we want to share an idea for a weekly show so that we can get your feedback on it.
Every Saturday we want to introduce a show called MOTO MOTO(The hot seat) which will be mainly focused on discussing politics, learning about the constitution,Law and the government.
We thought it would be best if our people actually learned these things so that they can better understand our country's politics and how they affect us as People of Muchatha,and even more importantly,how our local leaders are running our affairs.

This is what we were told by The MCA's office about KARINGA NURSERY SCHOOL.

Yes the land was grabbed and there is an ongoing case.
This is not the first time for such a thing to happen because it has happened 2 times before in the early and late 1990's.
We were told the land was given by the community to build a school there,but some brokers came and sold the land,and the people who bought the land have sued the community,the teachers and have been appealing the case over and over again for a very long time.

At the moment the government seems to have control of that land plus the school,because the teachers are employed and paid by the government.

The school cannot be developed until the case is finalised.

So,is it all true? Can someone clarify on this?

There is no more fear amongst our people. These are the grievances from the residents of Gathanga,Muchatha Ward. River Kiongé has flooded and a swamp has settled there. The locals are concerned with the planned excavation by The County Government of Kiambu to allow the excess water to flow.But where to? There are houses next to it where residents live and the previously dug trenches have been left to collect water. Trenches big enough to drown a grown human being.How about their children? They say let the swamp dry out as it has in previous years because if the water is spilled out,it will only fill their houses and then what?Relocate them? They told us about the relocation plans and how corrupt it is but we will not dive into that for now(Pun intended). They also said Gathanga should be separated into its own Sub-Location and have their own MCA. This is only but a pinch of what they told us.
