I hope this finds you well. I have a good idea to share with you.

When looking for a land to lease,please consider
-Accessibility of the land
-Security
-Near to a water source

You have less capital to farm please consider cow peas (Kunde ) for vegetables
-They need less capital to buy seeds grow
-They need less skills to farm
-They need less irrigation watering (though enough water)
They take 30 to 40 days to maturity (depending with your irrigation schedule
-10kgs gave me 800kgs in My previous crop
-The market ranges between ksh 20 to 60

-Go sell the veg your self.they will give you triple returns if you compare selling to brokers.

How to test soil pH in order to obtain good produce in your farm.

AREAS TO AVOID DURING SOIL TEST
1. Avoid taking soil along the boundary take at middle of your farm.
2. Avoid area where their is manure.
3. Avoid area their is trees .
4. Avoid swampy area.

METHODS USED TO COLLECT SOIL
1. Traverse method.
2. Zigzag method.

HOW TO TEST SOIL PH MATERIAL REQUIRED
1. Soil
2. Water
3. Vinegar
4. Baking soda

-Take soil from different areas of your garden.
-put 2 spoonful into separated container.
-add half cup of vinegar.

RESULT:
-if it fizzes you have alkaline soil with ph of 7&8.

BEST CROP AT ALKALINE SOIL
:cabbage,spinach,beans,leek,sunflower,watermelon etc.

NB;if it doesnt fizz after doing the vinegar test.
-add distilled water to other containers with soil until its muddy.
-add half cup of baking soda if fizzes out you have acidic soil with ph of 5&6

BEST CROP AT ACIDIC SOIL
:kales,beans,potatoes,onions,spinach,sweetpotatoes,pumkin,tomatoes,melon,carrots,bananas etc

NB;if it doesnt react either in vinegar or baking soda at all your soil is neutral with ph of 7 and you are lucky

BEST CROP AT NEUTRAL SOIL
:carrots,tomatoes,cucumbers,cauliflower etc

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE STARTING FARMING IN 2025

1. Farming is not an option for lazy men, its a task for the strongest .

2) To be a successful farmer you should learn the market trend,know what sells best and where.

3) Farming needs Capital. Never start a project which you’re not sure of its completion plan.

4) seasons are never the same, sometimes prices will heart break while in other season you will see your Mercedes Benz packed in your farm

5) Learn to be unique, never be a product of copy and paste.

6) consistency is the seal, let people know you at least for one product which never lack in your farm.

7) When you’re aspiring to inspire make sure you invest in yourself, learn the art; visit other farmers and learn from them. Through this you will one day be the master.

8) Always remember customers will always buy the cheapest produce in the market, but good quality products will set their own prices.

9) Never loose focus even if you don’t see yourself when you had anticipated.

10) Farming is never a get rich quick scheme, its a process which needs patience, determination and dedication.

Advice to Beginner Farmers. Farming is not a gold mine just sitting there waiting for you to COLLECT Dig your way, get dirty miss the hole and come up with dust not gold but do not give up, go back and restart the process again. You cannot do it alone all by yourself: consult consult consult experts and be matured enough to know that you know absolutely nothing hence be prepared to make every opportunity a learning curve. Otherwise this is the most awesomest satisfying place you could ever find yourself. Goodnight
