I saw a message attached to this photo and thought it was very powerful. I will rephrase it in this way.

This is a car, covered in mud and dirt. The driver understands that he is driving in a muddy environment. He does not stop to first clean the rest of the car. He simply ensures that the windscreen is clean and clear as he drives ahead.

This in many ways represents our pursuits in life- be in the struggle we are involved in, or any other venture.

Will life throw mud at you? Most definitely!

Will people throw dirt all over you? Hell yeah!

Will challenges and tribulations come your way? Assuredly!

Are there people who will brand you, malign you and throw all manner of profanities at you? As sure as day follows night!

Question is, what do you do when this happens? Your attitude will determine your altitude. Your response will determine whether you sink or swim. Whether you fly or collapse!

KEEP YOUR VISION CLEAR. As the mud comes in from all sides, keep your focus on the journey. Do not turn to the left or to the right - keep looking ahead. Let everything else be covered in mud but not your eyesight.

There is nothing that assists the enemy like seeing you stop everytime to concentrate on the dirt he is throwing at you. In the first place, that is his intention. Conversely, nothing destroys the enemy more than seeing you remain focused on the cause and the course despite all the mud they throw at you. That is the only way you can make it to your destination. May God help all of us to keep the vision, keep our focus on the bigger picture and keep the faith!

Easter and spring go hand in hand
To send a message through the land
Accept the miracle of spring
And you'll see good in everything.
Spring dressed up in gold and green
To recreate a wondrous scene
Her canvas is the countryside
Where she daubs colour far and wide.
Easter is joy and faith reborn
Promised that first Easter morn
It is a vow that's safe and sure
One we know will long endure.
Such confidence should make us glad
Shaking off dismal thoughts and sad
Yes, Easter eggs are quite a treat
Bunnies and chicks are very sweet.
But Easter makes a promise clear
When it returns year after year
That even if we may lose heart
Spring guarantees a brand new start.
Easter is such a happy time
When singers sing and poets rhyme
And nature paints the scenery
With flower, plants and greenery.
Easter and springtime fill the earth
With new awakening and rebirth
The whole of nature seems to bloom
Bidding farewell to winters gloom.
Easter parades, Easter bonnets
Springtime, ring-time , Shakespeare's sonnets!
Weddings, confetti, shoes and rice
But Easter simply means sacrifice!

Odd to say, but I've found my solace within my void. The void I always tarnished, the things I hated about myself ended up becoming the only things that stayed. We hate our scars, but they're the roses of our past. We own nothing in this life but our scars, love, and hope. The love I yearned to have, the one I never had, maybe just maybe, I loved... for I couldn't love myself.

Sometimes everything inside you cries except your eyes. And that's been the case; my eyes stayed dry, rich with famine, reflecting my soulless void. Tears are beautiful, a sigh of relief, for your soul, a chance to live. I've always longed for tears, but nothing washed my pain.

I'm in a mess. No, I'm a mess. When will my soul seek freedom, or was it always in search? I've been in search for freedom, my soul to be free, rather became a slave to the one thing my damaged heart desired. An ocean exists within me; its depth filled with my thoughts. I'm going insane, or maybe on the road to sanity, glee, or enlightenment. Ephemeral or forever, what am I? For what do I exist... Was I born to suffer? Will a provisional smile heal my mind, or my withering candle of a soul?

Will I be smiling when my book comes to an end? And why do my eyes water when I conceive my last moments? Do I want to live this life? What do I ought to pursue in this life? I swim within all the questions.

I understand now; I only exist within myself, all of me, all faces of me. I belong to me, and so does my future. But what will fill the void? Thought love is an ample matter, though I seem to be mistaken. Will a lifetime be enough to figure me out? The only question which the answer within time resides.

You have to know that your life matters. You are important to God. He thinks you are so valuable that He took time to plan all of your days before you were born. You have a divine assignment. The Scripture says, “He’s working all things according to the counsel of His will.” That means He has the final say.

He said His plans for you are for good. He said He will do exceedingly, abundantly above all you can imagine. Now keep God first place. Keep honoring Him with your life. Do the right thing when it’s hard. Don’t try to figure everything out. He’s doing things that you can’t understand right now. It won’t make sense

If you have to know everything, you’re going to be frustrated. Leave it in His hands. “God, I don’t know what You’re doing, but I trust You. I know You’re in control and You’re moving me toward my divine purpose

Somewhere in every heart there is a discerning voice. This voice distrusts the status quo. It sounds out the falsity in things and encourages dissent from the images things tend to assume. It underlines the secret crevices where the surface has become strained. It advises distance and opens up a new perspective through which the concealed meaning of a situation might emerge. The inner voice makes any complicity uneasy. Its intention is to keep the heart clean and clear. This voice is an inner whisper not obvious or known to others outside. It receives little attention and is not usually highlighted among a person's qualities. Yet so much depends on that small voice. The truth of its whisper marks the line between honor and egoism, kindness and chaos. In extreme situations, which have been emptied of all shelter and tenderness, that small voice whispers from somewhere beyond and encourages the heart to hold out for dignity, respect, beauty and love.

“Every effort does get noticed, but not every effort gets appreciated.”

When we put our best effort into something, we do not expect people to return it, but we have this expectation in our hearts from the other person to acknowledge it.

When people ignore our efforts, we feel hurt and demotivated. We don’t even see the worth in continuing to do anything for them. We need to remember that what we do anything for others is because of who we are and what we carry in our hearts. Other people’s lack of appreciation shouldn’t make us change ourselves because we will only end up with more people like them.

If you know someone who has worked hard, always encourage and appreciate them. Appreciation doesn’t need much and doesn’t make you any less. Simple acknowledgment, words of encouragement, heartfelt communication, a small gift, or simply telling another person that you see and feel their hard work can boost their energy, and they will even go over and beyond to surpass their previous efforts.

Alone is where we meet ourselves

…And until we are comfortable with being alone, we will never know if we have chosen someone out of love or loneliness – but too often, it is desperation and emptiness trying to fill a void we believe we have.
But the thing is, by learning to love our solitude, we don’t have to answer to anyone except a higher power. This power wants us to be full, content, and willing to face our shadows without fear.
No one can do this for us. It is up to us to find the peace inside we long for, and when we finally see it, feel it, and know it, then it is time to share our love and learn that it was the right choice, not a lonely one.
