PRESIDENT RUTO'S ally from Baringo County, Director Reuben Chepsongol, has launched a scathing attack against Catholic bishops for criticizing the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The latest being from the Nairobi Archdiocese, led by Archbishop Philip Anyolo, who announced that they would return a Kshs 5 million donation from President William Ruto.

Chepsongol claims that Catholic bishops have nothing to lose if the country descends into chaos as they are not allowed to have families. He accuses them of inciting others to protest and risk their lives, as the bishops themselves have no children to lose.

He urges the public to respect the leadership and return to the true teachings of the Bible.

At the same time, he noted that President Ruto's significant contributions to the construction of Catholic churches in Kituro and other parts of Kenya, amounts to over 3 billion shillings.

Chepsongol questions whether the Church can return all the donations received from various political leaders, including a recent donation from former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He also accuses Catholic bishops of hypocrisy and moral corruption, suggesting that they are more concerned with worldly possessions and power than spiritual matters.

Chepsongol claims that some bishops engage in immoral behavior, such as sexual relationships with Catholic sisters.

He concludes by asserting that a thief has a better chance of entering heaven than a hypocritical Catholic bishop.

UPDATE: The Archdiocese of Nairobi issues a statement regarding donations made by President Ruto and other politicians to Soweto Catholic Church, referencing Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) directives that discourage political donations to churches and the use of church events for political self-promotion.

In line with these directives, the Archdiocese has decided to refund donations of Ksh 200,000 from the Governor of Nairobi to the choir and Parish Missionary Council (PMC) Ksh 600,000 from President Ruto to the choir and PMC and Ksh 2 million from President Ruto for the construction of the Fathers' house.

BARINGO SOUTH: SIGH OF RELIEF AS KAMUNG'EI LOCALS BENEFIT FROM KSH 16M WATER PROJECT.

In a move to alleviate water scarcity in Marigat Ward, Baringo South Sub County, Self Help Africa (SHA) in collaboration with Baringo County Government has officially handed over the Kamung'ei Water Project today, aiming to provide water to over 250 households and two institutions.

The project, which amounted to 16.8 million Kenyan Shillings, includes 24 kilometers of pipeline, an elevated 10,000-liter water tank, a water kiosk, two cattle troughs, and a 15-kilowatt solar pump crucial for water distribution.

During the handover ceremony, Water and Sanitation Chief Officer Milkah Toromo commended Governor Benjamin Cheboi for his efforts in partnering with SHA to facilitate the project's implementation, which is one of seven water projects executed in the county.

Chief Officer Toromo emphasized the importance of establishing a robust management committee within the community to prevent conflicts and ensure proper project management, including prompt payment for water services. She also highlighted the project as a significant accomplishment for the year.

SHA Regional Director Calvin Okungu reassured the locals that the contractor would oversee the project for three years to ensure its successful operation and maintenance.

MCA Lemlem pledged to provide last-mile water connectivity in the upcoming budget allocation, emphasizing that the project would not only enhance access to clean water but also reduce waterborne diseases and the burden of fetching water for the local residents.

Also in attendance was Gideon Kiprotich Kandie, the Acting Ward Administrator of Marigat Ward.

STUDENT CHARGED FOR FALSE CLAIM ABOUT PRESIDENT RUTO'S FUNERAL PROCESSION.

A University student was today charged at the Milimani Law Courts with publishing false information by posting an image of a funeral procession featuring a casket covered with the Kenyan flag escorted by military officers in ceremonial uniform.

The court heard that David Oaga Mokaya shared the said image on his X account, "Landlord ," with the caption suggesting it showed President William Ruto's body being transported.

It is alleged the accused person fabricated the date to make the post appear authentic.

The offense is said to have been committed on November 13, 2024, at an unknown location within the Republic of Kenya.

Mokaya pleaded not guilty to the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhumbi.

The court granted the accused person a bond of KSh 100,000 with an alternative cash bail of KSh 50,000.

The case is scheduled for mention on December 4, 2024.
