The promo Cactus Jack cut on Tommy Dreamer on the October 6th episode of ECW in 1995 is one of the best wrestling promos I've ever heard and certainly is my favorite Mick Foley promo. Part kayfabe, part shoot, this promo captured perfectly the history of those 2 individuals in the promotion, referencing both mens journey to self destruction for the sake of entertaining a fanbase that clamour for more extremes in each of their matches and also bringing to question if it is even worth it for both men in the end. It was heartfelt, kinda sad, eerie at times and a reality check on both men; this coming moments after Dreamer had just cut a heavy theatrical promo promoting their match.
