3am Thought
One Reality That We Usually Forget
I've been thinking about some events in the past 3 months and concluded that we usually forget some aspects of human nature and get shocked when some things happen....
My friends... Wickedness is real... My friends, do not ever think that every single person is happy with your progress. My friends, do not ever imagine that because you are doing good things, everyone will be happy for you. My friends, do not ever imagine that if you are making progress in life, everyone will be happy....
If you imagine so, then you have never read Jeremiah 17: 9 “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?
9 "The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful, a puzzle that no one can figure out.
9 The heart is more deceitful than anything else and desperately sick-who can understand it?"
I've put 3 different versions so that you get the point....
As you make progress in life, remember this portion of the Scripture. Think about it.. And walk through life with this at the back of your mind....
If you are naive to think that everyone is happy with your progress..... Shock on you!!!
If you walk walk around with your " Beb" holding hands, smiling and cracking jokes, having the feeling of love fill the behind of your brain... You think everyone is happy?
If you are about to get married to a great man, who will transform your life and usher you to a new level... You think all the girls around you will be happy?? Wrong!! They will do their best to destroy it. They will ensure that you all remain single and miserable... They will badmouth that man. They will say the way ako na kichwa kubwa, sijui mdomo kubwa.. And some will even say yeye ni devil worshipper... That is why some things like marriage, you only consult elderly people who have no sense of competition with you...
If you buy a new car... Do you think everyone will celebrate you? Uta shangaa!!! Hapo ndipo uta ona real meaning of sabotage... I once found a neighbor... Mjamaa mzima ako na ndevu, scratching my car at night. That is why, when you make progress, there are places you should move from.... You should not stay in some places, plots or apartments.... Otherwise you will be exposing yourself to danger....
A relative of mine, a full Electrical Engineer from UoN, lost his life because of this thing people call humility... When tarmacing, he settled in Dandora. And as life progressed, he kept staying in Dandora. He became a big Technical manager in a major media house, and still remained in Dandora.. And one day, the jealous nature of human beings hit, and someone organized for attacks, and three times he was assaulted by fellows not interested in stealing anything. The fourth time, they killed him...
I had tried talking to him to move from the area. But he refused....
In the days of my troubles, when things became bad, a close relative to my wife would visit us in the single room we took refuge. Ange Kuja na macho ya Huruma, looking at us with the "woiye" eyes and saying Mungu ata wa saidia tu, tuna wa ombea "
But when the tide changed and God did the miracle and we suddenly found ourselves in our own house fully bought in a serene, gated community .. Three Cars (Two BMWs and a Suzuki) and a Trailer... She never set a foot in the place. Not even once...
I have talked about the time I did what lawyer Steve Ogola did more than a decade ago and took 7 cows, some goats and kibunda cha pesa to Busia kwa kina Bibi....wah!!! The Backlash!!! Mpaka some relative to mama watoto who was working in an organization that had given me a contract, ensured that I lost the contract.... And was there in the meeting called to review the terms....
Hapo ndipo Nika jua why places like Busia has several high profile people in high places, lakini hakuna maendeleo... Watu wako na Roho chafu!!! Ya Busia is excess.
Anyway, I only share some things to open up your perspective on life...
Hii life, don't assume that every single person is happy with your progress.. Don't assume that every single person is happy with your marriage
Don't assume that every single person is happy with your promotion....
If you you have that mindset, you will get shock ile ya stima kubwa... You will be heartbroken every day...
That is why, as you progress, you move up, you should increase your level of security. As you move up, you become more careful about association... Siyo maringo, but reality.....
Always remember to read Jeremiah 17 9 and remind yourself that watu ni wabaya....
So, as you progress, you take extra caution...
Increase your prayer. Be more careful.. And always trust in God, not man...
