Musyoki Muli is the CEO of Spearsharp Publishers as well as the MD of Evangel Publishing. He is also a member of the Kenya Publishers Association governing council.
Despite having such a busy schedule, he finds time to write books. Yesterday, at the Eldoret Regional Book Fair, he launched this book, which is a JSS level play and which has been approved by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.
If such a busy person can find time to write books, what is your excuse for not writing?
Oh, and by the way he also doubles up as the Emcee in all KPA functions.

"As a child, I wanted to be a physicist. I begged my mother to let me go to Tokyo to study physics. I promised I would win the Nobel Prize in Physics. So, 50 years later, I returned to my village and said to my mother, 'See, I have kept my promise. I won the Nobel Prize.' 'No,' said my mother, who has very fine sense of humour, 'You promised it would be in physics!'"

Heavily influenced by influenced existentialist philosophers Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus and the storytellers of his village in Japan, Japanese author Kenzaburō Ōe's writing often focuses on Japan post-World War II.

Ōe's experience growing up in post-war Japan led to him becoming a committed pacifist. He has also been involved in campaigns against nuclear weapons and nuclear power.

He was awarded the 1994 Nobel Prize in Literature for "an imagined world, where life and myth condense to form a disconcerting picture of the human predicament today."

This book is undoubtedly one of the most significant publications on academic and social life ever written about Nigeria’s Ivory Towers. It focuses on administrative, academic, security and cultural challenges from the arrival on 18 January, 1948 of the first students of the University College Ibadan to the present day; how Nigeria’s higher institutions, particularly the universities developed in their formative years from their sublimity to the days of apparent decline.

It is a story of transmogrifications from the noblest conceptions of the Ivory Tower to the succeeding periods in which ideals waxed and waned. The gains and reverses in the organic functioning of our universities have naturally fostered a sense of urgency for inquiry with a view to achieving the best ideals of the ivory tower as an indispensable element of our country’s development.
