The following county officers earning their salaries from the consolidatd Fund are also ODM officials. What kind of neutrality do you expect from their services at ODM County coordinating committee?!! They are;
1.Innocent oluku.. Political advisor and Secretary General County Coordinating Committee, ODM
2.Godfrey odongo Liason officer and Deputy secretary general, County Coordinating Committee, ODM
3.Abdala abkhakan. Budget /finance officer, committee member, County coordinating committee, ODM
4.Stephen Okalebo. Office Assistant, County Coordinating Committee member, ODM.

They therefore are required to be surcharged what they have been earning from the consolidated Fund.

(1) A full-time State officer shall not participate in any other gainful employment.
(2) Any appointed State officer shall not hold office in a political party.
(3) A retired State officer who is receiving a pension from public funds shall not hold more than two concurrent remunerative positions as chairperson, director or employee of--
(a) a company owned or controlled by the State; or
(b) a State organ.
(4) A retired State officer shall not receive remuneration from public funds other than as contemplated in clause (3).

Three out of eighteen nominated MCAs in the Busia county assembly are non-residents of Busia county, it has emerged.

The shocking details were revealed by a section of ODM delegates during a meeting with the party National Elections Council (NEC) in Busia town on Monday.

It also emerged that the three were fronted by Busia county women representative Hon. Florence Mutua with one of them taking up the position set aside for the disabled persons in the county.

It also emerged that the position meant for the youth was given to Patrick Obongoya from Budalang’i who is at least 50years old.

The NEC chairperson Catherine Mumo who could not cool down irate members that brought the meeting to a halt, admitted that there were errors made by the party that need to be corrected ahead of the next year’s General Elections including issues of irregularities and unfairness witnessed during the past party nominations.

First things first. Hon Mutua should apologise to Busia residents for nominating non Busians in the county assembly. She cannot assume it is out of our mind. Even if you disrespect us you cannot import your friends for nominations and then as if you feel nothing you now want to get governorship. Will you now import county CEC members from Makueni ?!!!

A dormitory at St. Benedict Budalang'i burnt down this morning causing damage of unknown value.
The Habenga dormitory fire comes barely one day after another dormitory was burnt down at Butula Girls secondary on Sunday.
The cause of the two fire incidents is yet to be established.

Today we had a team traveling from Uganda to Nairobi on Guardian bus, am shocked to learn that they were all forced to pay kshs 400 because police at Sio Roadblock demanded that every Ugandan pay. They demanded that everyone should have kenyan ID. Do busia police know about East African community? We Kenyans travel all the way to Kampala without being charged, why do this Sio police Roadblock guys think they are above the law. We are soon launching a surveillance and some must pay for this crimes. This pastors narrated the ordeal they went through at this corruption zone called Sio Roadblock.

Listening to my governor Ojaamong every time makes me question his sanity and soberness. Today in Kwangamor as usual, he brags of having brought CDF and that he wants to be a member of parliament so that he can be appointed a minister. Madness. If he brought CDF, let him take it back. Secondly, when he was an MP, the highest level he reached was assistant minister of Labour and the best he did was to fight Arthur Odera. Busia lags behind in all aspects simply because of poor leadership of Ojaamong . If he can mismanage billions, what of millions? CDF will simply be his pocket money, no bursaries, no development, no everything. It is only in Busia that we still have such bridges.

Busia County gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Paul Otuoma has been delt a blow after one of his strong supporters decamped to his rival Florence Mutua's camp.

Betty Akinyi who has been Otuoma's vocal supporter and blogger has now joined Mutua's team, a move that has shocked many within Otuoma's team and outside.

Akinyi is also the campaign manager of Mary Odongo Oyeyo who is seeking to succeed Mutua as Busia county women representative next year.

Busia county governor Sospeter Ojaamong has urged the Iteso community to vote for Hon. Florence Mutua (pictured) as the next governor in next year General Elections.

Speaking at Okisimo primary school in Kwang'amor Teso south, Ojaamong who was accompanied by Mutua, said she was best placed to succeed him urging Orange house to hand her direct ODM ticket, "When other people ran away from us abusing Raila in 2017, Mutua stood with us Tesos and that's why today we have to reward her by giving her the ticket and gubernatorial seat."

In recent days Ojaamong who is finishing his second term, and who is eying Teso south parliamentary seat, has been campaigning for his deputy Moses Mulomi to succeed him, a stance he is now deviating from.

Patients at Busia County referral hospital are being asked to buy their own gloves, they are send outside the hospital in the clinics owned by some doctors to do tests such as for ulcers and buy drugs. Patients eat sukuma wiki and ugali throughout, in the morning they take porridge without sugar.
