Police hunt "Tingiza mti" Man in Eldoret!

Man in Eldoret turned his rental house into a Bhang farm.

Yesterday, the National Police Service officers conducted a successful intelligence led operation at a residence within Elgon View Estate in Eldoret Township.

All the plants were uprooted after having been documented by DCI Scenes of Crime personnel. The plants weighed 33.5 Kgs with a street value of about one million Kenya Shillings.

A manhunt has been launched to arrest the main suspect namely Kipchumba Michael Kibet.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has called on IGAD Heads of State and Government to work together towards sustainable solutions to challenges that pose a threat to regional peace and security.

The President cited violent extremism, drought and armed conflicts as some of the challenges that require urgent attention from the IGAD leaders.

“In the past two years alone, the region has experienced a desert locust invasion, a crushing drought that is still ongoing, numerous threats related to violent extremism, armed conflicts and, like the rest of the world, the region has not been spared from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has lost his brother.

While making the announcement, Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati said that his brother Mr. Nicholas Wangamati died in Nairobi.

"I regret to announce the passing on of my brother Mr Nicholas Wangamati in Nairobi." He said

According to Governor Wangamati and his family, they have started arrangements for his funeral, which he said would be communicated in due course.

"In the meantime, I have joined his family in Nairobi as we make necessary arrangements to transport and lay his body to rest in Bungoma. As a family, we request for prayers through these difficult moments.

I will be sharing more details later." He said

East Sang'alo ward MCA Aspirant to prioritize Clean water, Improving Health sector, Fair distribution of bursary across the ward if elected in the August polls.

Speaking at his Fuchani home, Brighty Juma otherwise known as Dan Sonko who's seeking to unseat the incumbent Everton Nganga on an independent ticket, said his key aspirations are to empower women and youth groups in a bid to enable them start-up businesses.

Bungoma county Form 1 Transition remains a nightmare as over 800 students fails to join Form One to date.

Addressing the Press in Matulo, Webuye West Constituency, Bungoma county Director of Education Philip Chirchir has confirmed that over 800 students have not secured an admission in Form One despite the 100%Transition guideline by the government.

Chirchir has further asked parents whose Children haven't joined Form one to ensure students join Form One in response to the government regulation.

Setback for Sakaja! Commission for University Education (CUE) revokes their 'recognition' of Johnson Sakaja's Bachelor of Science in Management from Team University in Uganda.

CUE says it will need more time to investigate and ascertain the validity of the certificate.

"We have only revoked our recognition of the certificate. Due to the various issues that we have received, we reserve the right to revoke the recognition. Until investigations don't show otherwise, the recognition stands revoked," CUE Chairperson Chacha Nyaigotti told wakwetu kenya
