The Supreme Court has given its verdict which I personally respect and accept.
I truly believe this country deserved better and I hope in the future we will have that opportunity. Therefore, I hereby congratulate H.E President Elect William Ruto.
A wiseman once said that to wish your president to fail is to wish your country to fail. I would like to wish William Ruto great success as he takes the reigns. I truly hope that he will have the will to deal with run-away corruption because it is impossible to build a country’s economy under whichever model as long as public coffers are not secure and where funds meant for development projects vanish into thin air.
As the symbol of National Unity, it will be our desire that he brings together, the 7 million Kenyans who voted for him, the 7 million who voted for Raila Odinga, those who did not vote and those not registered. These are all Kenyans and he will now be the leader of all. Above all, I pray that our democratic space will remain vibrant with every Kenyan enjoying their rights, freedoms and liberties as enshrined in Chapter Four of our Constitution.
To H.E Raila Odinga, you have served your country to the best of your ability, and it involved very personal sacrifices. This country cannot boast of democracy without mentioning your name. Neither can we speak of devolution without considering your contribution. Your presidency would have fulfilled the aborted dreams of our forefathers; the journey to nationhood. You remain a true father to this nation and history will be kind to you! Baba you are a national treasure.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, your legacy will be spoken of in many years to come. Because of current political emotions, some may not fully see the heights you have lifted this country to; how you have build an infrastructure that opens Kenya to the world, and that will push it to the next economic frontier.
