✔️16% VAT on bread - Dropped. 🍞
✔️ Motor Vehicle tax - Dropped. 🚗
✔️Excise duty on vegetable oil - Dropped. 🍳
✔️No increase in mobile phone transfer fees. 📱
✔️SHIF and Housing Levy - This will be made allowable and no PAYE will be tagged. 🏠
✔️Eco Levy on LOCALLY manufactured goods removed. This will be charged on imported finished goods only. 🧻
✔️VAT threshold up to 8M shillings from the proposed 5M.8M shillings. 🧑🏾‍💼
✔️All businesses with turnover less than 1M will be eTims exempt. Exemption meant to cushion smallholder farmers and small traders. 👩🏾‍🌾
✔️Excise duty will now apply to IMPORTED onions, potatoes, and eggs. This is meant to protect and cushion local producers. 🧅

MOSES KURIA DIRECTS 10 QUESTIONS TO DEPUTY PRESIDENT RIGATHI GACHAGUA .

1. As we headed towards the 2022 general elections, I pleaded with you about the need to join the Kenya Kwanza Alliance through a Mt. Kenya Party like Chama Cha Kazi. You told me off and even mobilised everybody to protest against me, Kabogo and Kiunjuri, and our party candidates. Only Kiunjuri survived your evil scheme. Now that UDA has formed a government, you want our people to leave UDA and the government and join your party. This is pure Ukora and selfishness. You want to lock the Gichegu when the mbuzi has already Left.

2. President Ruto appointed me CS against your wishes. You said we couldn't have another mlevi like Uhuru. Uhuru, whom you are professing love for.

3. You pressed President Ruto repeatedly to have me fired. When you failed, you succeeded in having me transferred from the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry because you thought my efforts in poverty reduction, job creation, and wealth creation were too dangerous for your plans.

4. Since September 2022, you have been receiving the Mt Kenya share of appointments. Even the ones for ministries under the CSs from Mt Kenya. We only learned that we have 'appointed' someone from the Kenya Gazette. Now you have exhausted the appointments, and you want us to andamana with you because you are being oppressed.

5. Whereas all the rest of us are busy in our docks, you do zero work in terms of the priorities of the President and the government. The President works 24 hours a day alone, yet you are so idle that you spend the entire day politicking or filling out tender forms. I wonder how you can run a government yet you know absolutely nothing about how government operates.

6. You have never stepped out of Nyeri, save for a few forays into Mt. Kenya East. How can you lead us? Are you not the safest route towards 41 against the isolation of our community? Is this the legacy you want to bequeath to our Gen Z majority?

7. You have lost the trust and friendship of 90% of elected and appointed leaders in the Mt. Kenya region. How can you lead them?

8. When the cost of living was high and there was discontent on the ground, you went to the president and demanded that he give you cash of Ksh 10 billion to go fix the ground in Mount Kenya. Since it was denied, you now throw tantrums. How would the cash have benefited the people of Mount Kenya?

9. Now you have refused to even have a cup of tea in State House, saying you fear you will be poisoned. Make me understand how you now expect us to feel safe coming to your Karen residence for Cabinet Committee meetings. Won't you also poison us now that you have a good idea of how poisoning works?

10. Finally, where are you taking our people? Assuming you even get 100% of Mt. Kenya, what next? What's the end game? Will you vie for president in 2027? Which other voting block other than Mt. Kenya will you team up with? Who will trust you? Are you not being reckless and irresponsible with the political destiny of our people? Other than cheating them to change from Hustler to Villager, what other vision do you have for them? Are we going to feed our people slogans like Hustle and Villager for ever, just like Tibim and Tialala? What about the roads, water, schools, water, jobs, and businesses that we promised them? When you cry to them about being treated unfairly, do you want them to eat you for dinner tonight?

Answer these 10 questions. Mr. Deputy President, if you convince me, I will follow you. We will leave the government and lead our people to the opposition, as you very much desire.

_"Out of Compassion, I brought her Home and Warmed up the Pizza I made for you last Night that you wouldn’t eat because you're afraid you'll put on Weight. The Poor thing Ate it, Ravenously."_

_"She was Dirty. I suggested she have a Shower. While Showering, I noticed her Clothes were Filthy and Threadbare. I threw them away."_

_"I gave her the Designer Jeans that you’ve had for a Few Years, but don’t Wear because you say they are too Tight."_

_"I gave her Underwear, your Anniversary Present from me, which you don’t Wear because you said I don't have Good Taste."_
_"I gave her the Sexy Blouse my sister gave you for Christmas, that you don’t Wear just to annoy her.

I also donated those Boots you bought at an expensive Boutique but don’t Wear because someone at Work has the same Pair."_

A man accused of disrupting a photo session of CS Treasury Njuguna Ndung'u by yelling and shouting was Friday charged before a Nairobi court.

Eric Mankuyu was charged alongside Julius Kamau who did not plead to the charges.

Mankuyu was charged that jointly with others not before the court, he created a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by yelling, shouting and attempting to disrupt the photo shooting session by the Cabinet Secretary National Treasury and Economic Planning and his delegates.

They are alleged to have committed the offence on June 13 at the Treasury Building along Harambee Avenue.

Mankuyu denied the charges before Milimani senior principal magistrate Benard Ochoi and pleaded for lenient bond terms.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mzee Gerald Gikonyo Kanyuira, a pioneering Rwathia businessman.

Mzee Gerald Gikonyo Kanyuira passed on today at 9:00 AM at the age of 110 years. He hailed from Kangema, Rwathia Ward, Wanjerere Village.

In recognition of his business acumen, he was awarded the Key to the City of Nairobi in 2013 and was honored with the First Class Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) by former President H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta. He died peacefully at his Nairobi home.

EQUALIZATION FUND

Background

The Equalization Fund was established under Chapter 12 Article 204 (1) of the Constitution of Kenya. The Fund is operationalised by the Public Finance Management (Equalization Fund Administration) Regulations, 2021 which were published through Kenya Gazette supplement No. 69, Legal Notice No 54 of 29th April, 2021 and subsequently approved by Parliament. The Regulations provide for: the establishment of an unincorporated board, the Equalization Fund Advisory Board (EFAB); guidance on the administration and management of the Fund; provide for the withdrawals from the Fund; provide for completion of ongoing projects under the first policy; provide for implementation of new projects under all subsequent policies; and provide for the procedures in relation to winding up of the Fund.

The main source of funds for the Equalization Fund is stipulated by Article 204 (1) of the Constitution of Kenya, that is, one half per cent (0.5%) of all the revenue collected by the National Government each year, calculated on the basis of the most recent audited revenue received, as approved by the National Assembly.

Article 204 (3)(b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 provides that the national government may use the Equalization Fund either directly, or indirectly through conditional grants to counties in which marginalized communities exist.

The Public Finance Management (Equalization Fund Administration) Regulations, 2021 provides that the Equalization Fund shall be utilized indirectly as conditional grants to the affected counties in accordance with the Division of Revenue Act and the Equalization Fund Appropriation Act for the respective Financial Year.

CONSTITUTION OF KENYA - ARTICLE 204

(1) There is established an Equalisation Fund into which shall be paid one half per cent of all the revenue collected by the national government each year calculated on the basis of the most recent audited accounts of revenue received, as approved by the National Assembly.

(2) The national government shall use the Equalisation Fund only to provide basic services including water, roads, health facilities and electricity to marginalised areas to the extent necessary to bring the quality of those services in those areas to the level generally enjoyed by the rest of the nation, so far as possible.

(3) The national government may use the Equalisation Fund--

(a) only to the extent that the expenditure of those funds has been approved in an Appropriation Bill enacted by Parliament; and
(b) either directly, or indirectly through conditional grants to counties in which marginalised communities exist.

(4) The Commission on Revenue Allocation shall be consulted and its recommendations considered before Parliament passes any Bill appropriating money out of the Equalisation Fund.

(5) Any unexpended money in the Equalisation Fund at the end of a particular financial year shall remain in that Fund for use in accordance with clauses (2) and (3) during any subsequent financial year.

(6) This Article lapses twenty years after the effective date, subject to clause (7).

(7) Parliament may enact legislation suspending the effect of clause (6) for a further fixed period of years, subject to clause (8).

(8) Legislation under clause (7) shall be supported by more than half of all the members of the National Assembly, and more than half of all the county delegations in the Senate.

(9) Money shall not be withdrawn from the Equalisation Fund unless the Controller of Budget has approved the withdrawal.

Hello Admin, I am Rish from Eldama Ravine. I am 25 years old. I have been dating for the past one year. My boyfriend never told me about his past. During the dating period he cheated on me once, we solved it and I forgave him. Later I found out he had a child. I accepted to continue with the relationship as he takes care of the child. SEARCH FOR PLANE CARRYING MALAWI VICE-PRESIDENT AND 9 OTHERS ENDS IN TRAGEDY.

All on board perish as Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera declares a period of National Mourning. The plane carrying Vice President Saulos Chilima went missing yesterday after it left the capital, Lilongwe.

The plane carrying 51-year-old Vice President Saulos Chilima left the capital, Lilongwe, on Monday but failed to make its scheduled landing at Mzuzu International Airport about 370km (230 miles) to the north around 45 minutes later.

Aviation authorities lost contact with the plane when it “went off radar”, the statement from Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera’s office said.

President Chakwera was informed of the missing plane by the head of the Malawian armed forces, then ordered a search operation and cancelled a trip to the Bahamas.

Also on the Vice President’s flight was the ex-wife of former Malawian President Dr Bakili Muluzi.
