Yokosuka Local Letter

JTB (The biggest Japanese tour company) and Yokosuka are hosting 100 students from Chiba area to Monkey Island Field trip. We would like to tell students good points of Yokosuka as much as possible. During this trip, we would like them to enjoy international communication. Most of the students in Japan have never used English to communicate with native English speakers. Therefore, we would like them to enjoy Yokosuka and internationa lcommunication.

It will be a good experience for you, too.

Itinerary:
9:45 at Mikasa Park,
10:00 Opening Ceremony
10:30 Ferry Ride to Monkey island
11:00 Cooking together , help them cook and communicate in English
12:30 Lunch
13:15 Monkey Island Walk
14:00 Farewell
14:30 Ferry Ride back

* The school pays 5000yen for the participants
* You can bring your child with you

40 Japanese junior high school students from Chiba prefecture are coming to Yokosuka on 3rd September, this Saturday.

They are looking for families, or teens, children around their ages to hang out, make friends, and have cross cultural experiences.
The cross cultural event will be held at Monkey island, and the school will pay for the ferry ride and lunch for the participants.

Is anyone interested in helping them?

I am posting the pictures from previous events. The school trip didn’t happen for 3 years because of Covid, but finally they can come back 🙂

The families and all the participants had a great cross cultural experience and the friendship makes a lot of differences 🙂
