Our company believes that in today’s global arena, people with the ability to communicate in different languages have greater job and business opportunities.

Hence, we help people learn the languages that would help them land the job or set up the business that they want. We offer languages courses, interpretation, translation and editing/proof reading services for different languages, primarily Japanese, English and Tagalog. EIKEN PREPARATION

Considering the very limited chance for the Japanese students to be exposed in an English-speaking environment, preparing for the Eiken Test in Practical English Proficiency helps them improve their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English. At the Focus Language Services, students can prepare for Eiken in a warm and welcoming environment. With limited number of students per class, we teachers are able to know what each student needs to learn and improve on. We aim to know and FOCUS on the things our students need to learn while we lead our students to FOCUS on their studies. We help and support children/students to pass Eiken Test in Practical English Proficiency (5級~
2級）and TOEIC (Test of English International Communication). Passing the EIKEN is very useful for students seeking to study in prestigious high schools or universities. It opens up promising academic and career opportunities for them in the future. ENGLISH COMMUNICATION COURSE

Having a foreign teacher allows the the students to have more opportunities to speak English and to practically apply what they have learned. Furthermore, it gives them the chance to gain knowledge about other countries, including their people and culture, and be able to learn how to blend into societies, allowing them to gain a new perspective on the global community. In our English Communication course, we encourage students to give and justify their opinions and help them to develop and express their ideas. Whatever the nature and scope of your interpretation needs, we will custom design interpretation solutions to fit your objectives and budget. We take special care in understanding the subject matter and work closely with you, our clients. We will provide you with interpreters to facilitate communication between locals and foreign nationals. Translation

We will ensure that the translators who will work with you have thorough knowledge of the subject matter at hand and solid mastery of the language --from spelling and grammar to cultural appropriateness.

I started teaching English in Japan in February 1997. I was a foreign student then. I had studied the Japanese language for 2 years before I studied Graphic Arts. The first group of students that I handled in teaching English, an adult class of 3 different levels—the beginner level, the intermediate level, and the advanced level. I learned many things from teaching my first students, and we had so much fun. Since then, teaching has become a part of my life.

I've set up an English school and have been teaching students of different ages at my own school for more than 10 years now. It has given me the opportunity to meet different kinds of people, learn new things, and have lots of Japanese and foreign friends. Aside from being a teacher, I have also been working as a Japanese-English interpreter and translator. Before that, I was an exchange student for 4 years, and a year after finishing my studies, I got married to a Japanese. We now have 3 wonderful sons who have given us so much joy and pride. Having lived in Japan for more than 20 years, I have learned to speak the Japanese language very well and embrace the Japanese culture as well.

For me, teaching is a very challenging but rewarding job. I love teaching because when I teach, I learn too. But more than that, I love teaching because I can share my knowledge, talents, and skills with other people, and I help them achieve their dreams. I feel great whenever my students appreciate my efforts and consider me as someone who has helped them succeed, and this—to have a role in the achievement of other people’s success—is what I have always wanted to do in my life.

I have always been proud of helping Japanese people learn English and achieve their goals. But when I told my sister about it, she said that it would have been more wonderful if I had helped Filipinos learn the Japanese language and achieve their goals too. I was shocked and felt so embarrassed. My sister’s words had a great impact on me. She made me realize that I wasn’t a good citizen of my own country. Because of this, I thought of finding a way to teach the Japanese language to my fellow Filipinos and be part of their success too. As a result of my eagerness and desire to help them, I have set up a Japanese language learning center in the Philippines - FAULAN - NAGATANI LANGUAGE CENTER (FOCUS Japanese Language Services).
