Our Story
"The Mike Rogers Show" is "Like a BBC morning show on acid." Mike can proudly say that he is the only DJ in Tokyo that has been fired from every FM radio station in Tokyo at least once. You name it, they’ve canned him. But since FM radio in Tokyo is so lame, Mike wears that as a stinky badge of honor. Mike has been fired from InterFM three times now, but they keep hiring him back because he's super cheap and is kind of crazy so his shows are always very popular. Mike's assistant is the beautiful and talented Ms. Tomoko Taguchi who was crowned "Miss Japan" in 1999 and went on to become runner-up for the Miss Universe contest the following year.
Mike also wrote, produced and co-directed "Ghostroads - A Japanese Rock n Roll Ghost Story" that World Premiered at the 2017 Raindance Film Festival in London and, he also co-wrote and co-produced the documentary, “Matsuchiyo - Life of a Geisha” which will World Premiere at this year’s 26th annual Raindance Film Festival. That makes two films two years in a row!
Mike is also the first Jury member from Japan in history when he sat on the Raindance Jury in 2018.
..... Oh, and he also like to write about himself in the third person.
