Syn x Noritake | Milan Design Week 2025

We were proud to collaborate with Noritake .tableware.jp_official for their beautiful presentation at Milan Design Week 2025 .design.week, curating a bespoke soundtrack for the unveiling of the Noritake Design Collection .design.collection at Villa Borsani (ALCOVA), as well as their VIP media breakfast at Hotel Principe di Savoia.

“It’s been a great pleasure to collaborate with Yuichiro Hori, Noritake’s creative director, curating the soundtrack for their Milan Design Week exhibition. We set out to provide a beautiful ambient soundtrack with subtle Japanese essence that captures the feeling of Noritake’s high-end Japanese craftsmanship.”ーNick Wood

The playlist featured Nick Wood’s Towadako series, alongside music by exceptional artists such as Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins, and Shuta Yasukochi.

Noritake’s new signature collections—created in collaboration with Faye Toogood, Marc Newson , AB Concept, and Yabu Pushelberg—reflect a vision where tableware becomes timeless, sculptural art.

世界最大級のデザインの祭典「ミラノデザインウィーク 2025」において、日本を代表するテーブルウェアブランド「Noritake」の新たなコレクション「Noritake Design Collection」が発表されました。本イベントでは、Synが音の演出を担当し、ALCOVAの会場となった名邸「Villa Borsani」とVIPメディア向け朝食会が開かれた名門ホテル「Principe di Savoia」にて、特別なサウンド体験をキュレーションしました。

「Noritakeのクリエイティブ・ディレクターの堀雄一朗さんと共に、ミラノデザインウィークの展示のサウンドトラックをキュレーションできたこと、光栄に思います。Noritakeの高級な日本のクラフトマンシップが持つ感性を表現するために、繊細な和のエッセンスを織り交ぜた美しいアンビエント・サウンドトラックを提供しました。」ーNick Wood
