[Announcement of the First Round Qualifiers for the 5th SHIGERU KAWAI International Piano Competition!]
A total of 58 first round qualifiers have been selected from 324 applications. The first round, starting in July, will feature a total of 60 participants, including the 58 selected, plus one top contestant from each of the partner competitions held in Spain and China (to be announced later).

【第5回 SKIPC – 予備審査が始まります！】
第5回 Shigeru Kawai 国際ピアノコンクールには、22の国と地域から合計324名の応募がありました。多数のお申し込みを誠にありがとうございました。

3月2日(日)より、日本国内での予備審査が始まります。

[The 5th SKIPC – Pre-selection Begins!]
The 5th Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition has received a total of 324 applications from 22 countries and regions.
Thank you all for your numerous entries!

Starting from March 2 (Sun), the Pre-selection (Japan) will take place in Osaka and Tokyo.

平素より第5回Shigeru Kawai 国際ピアノコンクールにご関心をお寄せいただき、誠にありがとうございます。

昨日 公式ホームページにて発生しておりましたシステム障害は、日本時間1/15(水)午後8時30分頃に解消されました。
皆様に多大なるご迷惑をおかけしましたことを、改めてお詫び申し上げます。

申込締め切り日時に関しましては、下記の通り変更させていただきます。
・変更前：2025年1月15日(水) 24:00（日本時間）
・変更後：2025年1月20日(月) 17:00（日本時間）

引き続き皆様のご応募をお待ち申し上げております。

[The 5th SKIPC - Announcement of Extended Application Period]

Due to a system malfunction, access to the official website and the application page has been temporarily unavailable.

We deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience and concern caused to those currently in the process of applying or considering their application.

In light of this situation, the application deadline originally scheduled for today will be extended to ensure all participants have sufficient time to complete their application.

Details regarding the new deadline and the application process will be announced in due course.
