In the year 2025, ABK AOTS Dosokai will be celebrating its 50th Foundation Year.
Our Heartiest congratulations to Mr. M.R. Ranganathan, Founder Chairman and respected members of ABK AOTS Dosokai for marching towards Golden Jubilee.
Hiyoshi and ABK AOTS Dosokai have had a strong relationship of more than 25 years and have jointly organized various social activities such as Talk Your Way to Japan Speech Contest, Hiyoshi Internship Program and Hiyoshi Environmental Awards.
To discuss the preparations for the Golden Jubliee celebrations of ABK AOTS Dosokai, a brainstorming session was held in which Hiyoshi India, Director Dr. M. Mayilsamy also participated. It is our great pleasure to take part in all ABK AOTS Dosokai activities and we look forward to a long-lasting relationship for many years to come.

We are happy to inform that two university students from India are undergoing internship since 22nd May 2023 at Hiyoshi. Due to coronavirus pandemic the internship program was not conducted for the past three years. By resuming the program this year, we hope that we will continue to provide environmental awareness amongst the University students in India.

Technology Exhibition and Seminar Lecture
at Japan-India Environment Week

Hiyoshi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture) participated in the "Japan-India Environment Week" hosted by Ministry of the Environment, Japan and the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change, India on January 12-13, 2023. In addition to presenting on the theme of dissemination and development of model projects for improving the water environment in Asia, we also exhibited a simple measurement method for dioxins using bioassay technology that can contribute to CO2 reduction.

Since 2017, Ministry of the Environment, Japan has held environmental weeks with the ministries and agencies in charge of the environment in Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines and this is the seventh time it has been held.

As a technology that contributes to environmental conservation and for the building of a sustainable society in India, we introduced "Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of domestic wastewater treatment facilities in India" in our business pitch (Technology introduction), and at the seminar, we presented our technology for the "Asian Water Environment Improvement". In the seminar, Chibibharath, an employee from the local subsidiary company, introduced a case study of "Project to improve water quality and facility management of wastewater treatment at a seafood processing factory" which was implemented in Da Nang City, Vietnam as part of the Ministry of the Environment’s Asian Water Environment Improvement Model Project.
In addition, Mr.Hiroshi Murata, President and CEO of Hiyoshi Corporation introduced our Company’s international contribution activities carried out since 1989 and our "simplified measurement method for dioxins using bioassay technology" to Mr. Nishimura, Minister of the Environment, Japan when he visited our company's exhibition booth. This simple measurement method performs a simple and rapid pretreatment of environmental, food, and biological samples, and through genetically modified cells, the toxicity equivalent (TEQ concentration) can be easily determined from the luminescence of dioxins in the sample. It is a technology that calculates quickly, emits little CO2 (compared to the instrumental analysis method: about 1/10), and is environmentally friendly. The Minister praised Hiyoshi Corporation for being a “good Omi company by putting in practice the Omi Merchants business philosophy, “Sanpo Yoshi”(Good in Three Directions- sellers, buyers, and the society) and for our "excellent bioassay technology that addresses environmental problems" and many years of efforts in developing international environmental human resources. We will continue to strive to expand our business to meet the needs of society, including India, and towards a decarbonized society, based on our basic philosophy of internationalization, "Environmental problems have no borders."

■What is the Japan-India Environment Week?
The Japan-India Environmental Week is a series of events that include the Environmental Infrastructure Technology Seminar, to discuss the latest environmental policies, market trends and needs/seeds related to environmental solutions (environmental technology, etc.) for private companies and government officials from both countries. Exhibitions and business matching will be held to connect related parties and create opportunities for business talks and consultations. We are happy to inform that Hiyoshi Corporation has successfully completed the JEC (Japan Endowed Course) at Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute. The duration of the Course was for six days (10th November to the 16th of November.)
In spite of the unprecedented rains, we were able to conduct the Course online and all the sessions, including the onsite practicals were conducted successfully.
Hiyoshi JEC Endowed Course is a unique course designed to teach the students the Prevention of Manufacturing Environmental Impacts.
The purpose of this Course is to promote the reduction of environmental problems in India as a whole and to improve the added value of products produced internationally by fostering environmental-friendly human resources in companies.
Hiyoshi aims to bring about environmental awareness in students who will be engaged in manufacturing enterprises in the future through Japan's experience in dealing with the pollution issues caused due to the high economic growth.
We hope to continue to conduct such Environmental related awareness course and play a role in improving the environment in India.
