Hello everyone! Our engagement seems to have really jumped this week, so I wanted to pop in and say hello since there's been a lack of updates recently.

- Physical copies of ASCENDANT #1 are in and they look great (thanks to Comix Well Spring!), but I'm looking for the best way to list and sell them. We've applied to Facebook to get a storefront up and running, so keep an eye out!

- The script for Issue 2 is currently in the last round or two of edits and will soon be sent over to Elena Ominetti's Art so we can get started. I can't wait to share her work with you all!

- For issue 2, Min Yi Haruka will be returning as our cover artist. I think you'll agree his work on Issue 1 was phenomenal. We'd be crazy to go with anyone else!

- Last but not least, we've gotten so many compliments on our artwork, we decided to open up an INPRNT shop. We've added some of our best artwork there for sale as print-on-demand art prints! You can check them out here: https://www.inprnt.com/gallery/ondoricomics/

Little preview of Daniele Caramanico’s colors over Elena Ominetti’s ink. Daniele has such a fantastic ability eye for lighting and shadow - his panels just pop right off the page, especially in digital.

One thing I love about being an independent publisher is how closely the artists and I can work together.

Normally as a writer I would write my script for an issue and send it off, never to be seen again. I wouldn’t talk to the artist and my interaction with the editor would be limited at best.

Being indie, the entire creative team can go over every page together and make sure it matches up with everyone’s creative vision, not just mine as the writer. It’s such a rewarding process watching everyone’s talents come together to create something wonderful.

As much as I love black and white comics (Bone and Sin City come to mind immediately...) there’s just something about color that really brings a page to life. Here’s an example: On the left, Elena Ominetti’s original inks, and on the right, Daniele Caramanico’s colors. Can’t have one without the other, but when they combine just right...che bello!

Hello everyone!

Just popping in to announce some exciting news. Singaporean artist Min Yi Haruka has signed on to do covers for our upcoming comic ASCENDANT.

Our covers will be his first professional work in western comics, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that he chose to make his debut on our books.
