At the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, UD Trucks was presenting a tangible new way of communication and interconnectivity in the industry with a new concept truck designed by UD for the near-future: The Quon Concept 202X.⠀

Not merely a design and technology exercise, UD wanted to combine cool, robustness, evolution with delight, optimism and anticipation.⠀
⠀
We were tasked with recognizing these ideals through a promotional teaser to be played at the press conference before the official unveiling to the world at the motor show.⠀
⠀
Partnering with director Artem Skiy, we exceeded the clients expectations and created a highly creative promo video inspired by Top Gear and high end TV commercials for super cars to show off the truck’s unique design features and communicative external LED displays.
The Kyoto State Guest House | 京都迎賓館
Built in 2005, the Kyoto State Guest House is comprised of facilities made to give warm welcomes to distinguished guests from around the globe, as well as to provide a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and enrich friendly relations with the country.
Last year, Strategy SET was commissioned by the Kyoto State Guest House (or Geihinkan, in Japanese) to make a promotional film about the estate. Aiming for more than a simple walkthrough video, we set out to provide a perspective that shows the attention to detail of the Guest House. This is the result.

Kesennuma’s economy relies heavily on the fishing industry—as it is one of Japan’s largest national ports—and we had the opportunity to witness the it all in action while filming for the Kesennuma Tourism Authority.
Kochi Prefecture, located on Shikoku Island, is a predominantly rural region known for it’s rivers, mountains, and Pacific beaches. The often sunny prefecture also possesses Kochi-jo, one of Japan’s most well-preserved feudal castles from the 1600s, as well as Katsuo Tataki, or seared bonito tuna, the most famous dish of the area. What is Kochi to you?⠀

Black Corporation, the synthesizer maker of Deckard’s Dream, has released its latest piece of magic- the Kijimi synth. StrategySET’s latest promo video features “Neo Tokyo” inspired by opening scenes from the 80's anime film Akira.
In fall 2017, the annual Red Bull Music Festival landed in Shibuya. As an event partner, Strategy SET not only documented the events on video, we also produced several animations to promote the festival on Red Bull Japan's social media channels.
The Round Robin event was all about improvisation and unexpected pairings. Various music artists took the stage, two at a time, culminating in a group performance that encompassed almost every music style imaginable.
Led by Shell Weiss, Strategy SET combined the talents of character illustrator Lilian Darmono and animators Bethany Levy and Jonathan Nix to create these quick animations for Red Bull's social media campaign.

Sound Junction was a 360˚ event, with 4 stages in a single room. Strategy SET created a 360 VR video for the event, as well as this animated explainer.⠀

The Ongaku Matenro event saw the takeover of the iconic Tower Records store in Shibuya, with live events spread throughout the building, from the basement to the rooftop.⠀

Our motion graphics team led by Shell Weiss whipped up these mini event explainers in record time, assisted by talented character illustrator Lilian Darmono and animators Bethany Levy and Jonathan Nix. ⠀
