My brother has achieved full family and dog status. The dog is cute. But don't be fooled, a young wild menace. Perhaps as I'm posting this so late and this was last last winter, that maybe, he's chilled out by now. Not only had I at this time not been back to Canada in about 4 years. Prior to that, I had only returned during the summer. So getting a chance to see the nieghborhood all blanketed in snow, reminiscent of some sleepy Whoville, was especially rare for me.

At this point in the trip I handed over the camera to a rising photographer. They managed to capture me, I think, at the most attractive moment in my whole life.

Another leg of my trip when visited Canada last November was to see my childhood friend on Vancouver Island. He lives up in the qualicum area which is famously beautiful. A part of the visit was. Going to spa resort called 'Tigh Na Mara'. It's made up of the very cosy chill cabins giving it a feeling like camping and then they have these cool bathing pools. Simila to the onsen culture in Japan but with a distinctly Canadian feel. Also infamous on the island in this area is a shop where you can buy some of the most amazing sweets. Unfortunately I forget it's name. This was an unforgettable memory. Miss ya

Finally I can begin posting from my trip to Canada last November. So many amazing things happened on this trip. Amazing among them was speaking to my brother about his new business idea. He had run a food truck and during the course of that felt taken advantage of for the price of paper products the business required to operate. Seeing an opportunity, Chris found and sourced eco friendly paper products. From then, he founded 'Canadian Box and Paper' which is now booming. Customers, like Chris, fed up with the abusive prices quickly signed up and chose the new alternative as a return to cooperative business rather than suspecting if thier supplier was cheating them. It's eternally a struggle to get any small business off the ground and the fact that's he's doing it, well that inspires me. I'll go ahead now and say if you've never visited Vancouver Island, it's a good shake to do so in the summer, and if you can, get there by ferry. One of the most beautiful rides you could imagine.

There's this place called in . I've always gone when it's too early or not at all but it's still an extraordinary place. Definitively calming would describe it well. Never hurts after a rainy walk to wind your way down to a vinyl sheesha cafe and grab some amazing tea to finish off the day either.

I haven't been posting for a while but It's good to put these pictures up now. I really do appreciate having something I can refer to for memories that I enjoyed so much and never want to forget.

It's been six months since leaving Kyoto. I did this walk a short time before figuring out what the next steps were which led me to Thailand. So far so good.

Wat Arun is an 82m is a Buddhist temple in the Bangkok Yai district. The elaborate details in the art sculpture which defines the style I've not seen before. I know as a mainstream attraction some will avoid this, it's a shame. Popular or not it's an incredible site to take in for yourself if you're lucky enough to get a chance to visit.

About the time we were planning to leave for thailand my friend said he'd not been to Asakusa yet. It'd been years for me since I'd seen it so I was more than happy to go. It's packed, but you know that when you go, so if you're expecting it, that becomes part of the charm. The view down the shops to the lantern commands attention. You get why it's an iconic place for people to snap photos, even if that truth has led to saturation beyond repair rat race late capitalism nightmare fuel, I digress. Really cool snappy shot for your photos. Man oh man I miss Japan. What a fantastic place. The world really is amazing when you get out in it. I think eventually you end up missing everywhere you go. 🇯🇵🇹🇭

No ai for this one. Here is a link to our most recent blog post which accounts for the last month of life. Moving to Thailand from Tokyo was a tectonic shift. The new landscape provides a lot of creative inspiration. We are now starting to find our stride and branch out since we set up our base of operations.
