Drone registration is now mandatory in Japan, and operating a drone outdoors without proper registration may result in penalties.

At FIXERS JAPAN, we offer proxy services for registering drones and obtaining comprehensive flight permits from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) to ensure the temporary use of drones brought into Japan from overseas.

For flights that comply with standard flight rules, drone registration and comprehensive flight permits within Japan are sufficient. However, the registration process involves creating an account, verifying identity, inputting drone, owner, and user information, and paying the required fees, etc—all of which must be completed in Japanese, posing a significant challenge for many. We also provide dispatch services for standard drone pilots and FPV drone pilots. Please contact us for more details.

Japan Airlines (JAL) is Japan's national flag carrier. And They are known as one of the largest and most prestigious airlines in Asia.
However, they were destined to collapse due to a combination of internal mismanagement and external economic pressures. Key factors that led to its bankruptcy in 2010 include:

1. High Operating Costs: JAL had excessive operating costs, including overstaffing and generous employee benefits, which reduced profitability.

2 Debt Accumulation: The airline amassed massive debts from aggressive fleet expansions and unprofitable routes.

3. Poor Management Decisions: Ineffective leadership failed to adapt to market changes and streamline operations.

4. Economic Downturns: The global financial crisis of 2008 severely impacted travel demand, worsening JAL’s financial health.

5. Intense Competition: Increased competition from low-cost carriers and international airlines eroded JAL's market share.

6. Fuel Price Volatility: Rising fuel prices significantly inflated operational costs, squeezing profit margins.

7. Dependence on Government Bailouts: JAL relied heavily on government support instead of making necessary structural reforms.

These factors collectively weakened JAL’s financial stability, ultimately leading to its bankruptcy filing in January 2010.

When it comes to global coffee shop chains, many people would say Starbucks. They actually faced a significant downturn during the 2008 global financial crisis. The company struggled due to several factors:

1. Overexpansion: Starbucks rapidly opened new stores worldwide, leading to market saturation and declining profitability.

2. Economic Recession: The global financial crisis reduced consumer spending, especially on premium, non-essential items like specialty coffee.

3. Loss of Brand Identity: Critics argued that Starbucks had become too commercialized, losing its unique, community-oriented atmosphere.

4. Operational Inefficiencies: High operational costs and inconsistent product quality further impacted performance.

By 2008, Starbucks closed 600 underperforming stores and laid off thousands of employees. Howard Schultz returned as CEO to revitalize the company by focusing on core values, improving product quality, and slowing expansion. These changes helped Starbucks recover and grow stronger in the following years.

Japanese New Year, or Shōgatsu, is the most important holiday in Japan, celebrated from January 1st to 3rd. Families clean their homes before the new year to start fresh and decorate with kadomatsu (pine and bamboo) or shimenawa (sacred ropes) for good fortune.

On New Year’s Day, people eat osechi ryōri, a traditional meal of beautifully arranged dishes, each with symbolic meanings like health, happiness, or prosperity.

Many visit shrines or temples for hatsumōde, their first prayer of the year, to wish for a good year ahead. New Year’s in Japan is a time for family, reflection, and new beginnings.

We had the pleasure of filming a corporate video that took us two hours outside of Tokyo to capture the story of an employee with a unique passion—surfing. Set against the backdrop of Japan's stunning coastline, this shoot showcased not only the individual’s professional dedication but also the balance between work and personal life.

Our team documented the employee’s routine, starting with an early morning session catching waves, highlighting the focus and discipline surfing brings to his life. It was inspiring to see how his hobby influenced his perspective at work, encouraging creativity, resilience, and teamwork.

The serene seaside location added a cinematic touch to the project, perfectly blending the energy of the sport with the calm professionalism of his corporate role. Using dynamic shots and slow-motion sequences, we aimed to capture the raw beauty of the waves and the joy of being in the moment.

This project wasn’t just about showcasing the employee’s talent—it was about celebrating the diverse passions that shape individuals and the companies that support them. A truly memorable shoot that reflected both nature's power and human perseverance.
