Japan’s industry ministry has released a draft of the new Basic Energy Plan, which includes the maximum use of renewable energy and nuclear power. This will serve as a guideline for Japan's energy policy, and the draft says renewable energy will make up around 40-50% of the country’s power generation mix in fiscal 2040.
