As business owners, we spend a lot of time pouring over balance sheets, analyzing numbers, and making sure everything adds up.

We focus on assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses, always striving to ensure our businesses are profitable and growing.

But there's one critical asset that never shows up in any of those columns—a silent force that drives every decision, fuels every strategy and ultimately determines success or failure: your mindset.

Your mindset is the lens through which you view the world and your business.

It's the beliefs, attitudes, and assumptions you hold about what is possible, what you're capable of, and how you respond to challenges.

While numbers can tell us where we stand financially, it's our mindset that dictates where we're headed.

And while we love helping businesses thrive using tried-and-true methods, sometimes I can't help but feel a little... creatively confined.

Let's face it, the online world is saturated with "best practices" and proven formulas.

But what if the next big thing doesn't come from a textbook? What if it comes from someone who dared to break the mold?

Think about it. Some of the most disruptive online brands we know today started with ideas that seemed crazy at first.

They challenged the status quo, did things differently, and ended up changing the game entirely.

As OBMs, we're in a unique position to champion unconventional thinking.

We get to see the inner workings of different businesses, understand their audiences, and identify the potential for something truly unique.

Now, I'm not suggesting we burn all the marketing playbooks.

We all know the coaching industry has seen a surge in practitioners, and not all of them are as trained or experienced as they should be.

First, let's talk about qualifications. What training and experience do you have that qualifies you to coach others?

Are you continually learning and developing in your field? Self-awareness is crucial.

If you're coaching others, shouldn't you have a coach yourself?

I want to open up about something that impacts so many of us on our paths to personal and professional success: the trap of comparison.

Throughout my career as an Online Business Manager, I've witnessed firsthand how comparison not only steals our joy but also our ambition and drive.

It's easy to look at someone else’s achievements and feel like we’re falling behind or not measuring up.

There was a time when I constantly compared my journey with industry peers. It felt like a race I could never win.

But the breakthrough came when I realized that success isn't a one-size-fits-all.
