We had the pleasure of speaking with key figures like Anika Gayle, Club Leader of the Lauriston & Thompson Pen Community 4-H Club, and Peter Thompson, Executive Director of Jamaica 4-H Clubs. 🌿🎉

Did You Know? The Jamaica Fire Brigade Does So Much More! 🚒🔥

Beyond firefighting, the JFB provides Emergency Medical Services across six fire stations, conducts Fire Investigations to understand incident causes, and leads Rescue Operations to protect lives and property. They also offer Humanitarian Aid through community support, school outreach, and assist their members’ welfare. Through Advanced Training, they’re constantly evolving to deliver safer and faster responses during emergencies.

Today, we gathered in Old Harbour for the Jamaica Fire Brigade Area 3 Exposition as part of Fire and Life Safety Awareness Week 2024. Under the theme, “Embracing Digital Innovation to Improve Fire Safety,” we learned all about new advancements in fire safety. 🧑‍🚒🚒

With a focus on “Saving Lives, Protecting Property,” this event offered a great chance for the community to understand the importance of fire safety and the role of technology in keeping us secure.

What an incredible day with pon di road! 🌞 The Jamaica Deposit Insurance Corporation (JDIC) hosted its first-ever JDIC In Di Streets Public Education Expo in New Kingston, celebrating World Savings Day and promoting the importance of “saving for the future.” 🌎💰
