Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Galatians 5:7-9 KJV

As Followers of the Lord we’ll at times learn about the impact influence has on us, those who are still in the world, sinners, the youth. Or even how we were influenced by the world’s ways, beliefs, and trends when we also were in the world and lost, or still in sin and innocence.

We may have somehow underestimated its power spiritually, or was completely oblivious to it because our spiritual eyes were still closed (blind). However, the Lord through His wisdom and His word cautioned us, taught us to be wise as a serpent and harmless as doves, and to be of a sober mind. But to also be aware of the temptations, lies, lusts, and folly that’s in the world.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30 KJV

We’ve always heard the terms ‘Favour, receiving favour, or being blessed and highly favoured’, but no one warned us as Followers and Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ of Deceitful Favour. The Lord warned us through His word of deceivers, seducers, dissemblers, and wolves in sheep’s clothing who aim or have a desire to deceive, to attach themselves, use, or take advantage of those who are innocent, talented, young, pure in heart, body, and spirit.

We’ll unfortunately be met with deceitful favour which comes in the form of strangers or admirers, those we loved, trusted, gave access to us, our heart, mind, body, our resources, and secrets. However, with wisdom, repentance, and obeying God we can and will overcome and get out of the snare or pit of the enemy that’s been set against us.
