Introduction
Kairos Network is the registered name for the umbrella ministry that covers a number of sub ministries. As the name suggests we seek to execute the work God has committed to us in keeping with His present move. The word kairos is important in understanding the purpose of God upon the earth. A definition of it could be of importance to understanding our work. Kairos

Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the "right or opportune moment," or "God's time." The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies "a time in between", a moment of undetermined period of time in which "something" special happens. What the special something is depends on who is using the word. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative nature. In theology
The term "kairos" is used in theology to describe the qualitative form of time. In rhetoric kairos is "a passing instant when an opening appears which must be driven through with force if success is to be achieved. In the New Testament kairos means "the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts (e.g. Mark 1:15, the kairos is fulfilled). It differs from the more usual word for time which is chronos (kronos). In the Eastern Orthodox Church, before the Divine Liturgy begins, the Deacon exclaims to the Priest, "Kairos tou poiesai to Kyrio" ("It is time [kairos] for the Lord to act"); indicating that the time of the Liturgy is an intersection with Eternity. It is fair to say that this ministry began in 1988 under the name His Wings Mission. Then we were primarily concerned with the plight of street children and sought to meet their needs through residential and non-residential services. We have gone through a series of name changes as the work evolved. For a season, we operated on university campuses. The work we do has extended far beyond street children and university campuses though we still maintain a commitment to these two target groups. As we grew we entered into increasingly diversified spheres. One of our mandates is to raise up churches in areas in which there is a need to have churches planted. One of these is the deep inner city areas. We like to think we do a lot of “byway” rather than “highway” churches. By this we mean that our work is largely among the marginalized peoples. We do believe that every individual should have easy access to a solid biblical church. Our churches are built on strong prayer and sound biblical teaching. We believe that the word of God should be fresh for the people each moment and so we seek to reach out to God for such. Our ministry carries a strong youth focus. We do not know if God will change this in the future but this is currently where we are. The social arm of our ministry carries the burden of transformation for disenfranchised human beings and their communities. Our associations or network organizations look for gaps not yet serviced and for which we sense a mandate from God and seeks to fill them.
