In this time of unlimited access to information, this may seem like a sensible and cost saving option, but the benefit to be gained from
working with an experienced team is invaluable. SMA was formed out of a strong partnership which existed between Sharon Williams and Shane Brown which began with Juke Boxx Bookings in 2007. Both have a long history in the music business, Sharon in event production and talent bookings and Shane in talent management, production and engineering. Juke Boxx Bookings brought an unparalleled level of professionalism and client entertainment services to the region under Sharon’s guidance. Unlike traditional agencies, we offered all facets of live entertainment consultancy services from sourcing and engaging of entertainment to on-site production services. In 2015, as both veins of the business grew to unprecedented levels, we felt it was necessary to make a clear separation between the services offered by Juke Boxx and the booking agency division and thus SMA was conceptualised. We proudly serve a distinguished clientele that includes major international concerts, corporate events, festivals, arts organizations, theatres, colleges, and virtually all types of special events locally and overseas in a region we have dominated for many years, and continue to have a strong imprint. Management experience allows us to bring a unique aspect of marketing and promotion to the representation of each talent. Shane has maintained a network of prominent DJs and radio personnel in the region that he has worked with extensively over the last decade. We have numerous venues/clients that work with us exclusively. With honest representation and professionalism being our trademark, this has allowed us to form and maintain long lasting partnerships which have been built on trust. It has taken many years to build the trust and respect needed to work with a client exclusively, as on all sides there are expectations that SMA has met and in many cases exceeded to continuously grow our network. Therefore, signing to SMA for the region as an exclusive talent will allow access to our partner network for promotion which has been tried and proven by us, a network which may not have been otherwise accessible. Entering into an exclusive booking agreement with SMA, also places the talent at a distinct advantage as it facilitates centralised booking of the artiste for the region, which maintains the prestige, quality and consistency of the artiste’s brand. Extensive promotion of each talent in a proactive manner ensures that the artiste is marketed year round and rates adjusted according to seasons for optimisation of the event calendar. We propose to represent you in the Caribbean, Central and South America where we have agents stationed and aggressively penetrating those markets. We propose an initial period of one year after which we can re-evaluate and discuss an extension. If you find the foregoing proposal satisfactory, a written agreement can then be signed by both parties and we can then proceed accordingly.
