TOURISM A NEW THINKING

We are trying to engage individuals and small businesses and the public in a discussion on a New Thinking on Community Tourism.

Today major Corporations control visitors to the island in an All inclusive environments. Tourists are no longer exposed to the community for shopping and entertainment outside these all inclusives.

We think there's a better way that tourist dollars can reach the wider community not just by employment, they must be allowed to be tourist.

The shut down of rafting on the Blue Lagoon by Jamaica National Heritage Trust is a Prime example of taking tourism dollars that flows directly into the community.

This is the area of Blue Hole Road Parochial that Vendors, Rafters and Boat Tour operators were removed and livelihood destroyed from. The construction materials and garbage here 2 years later has nothing to do with rebuilding the Blue Lagoon.

Our visit to Roaring River was such an amazing and spiritual experience! Now, you might be a bit skeptical as you are driving there and perhaps even when you arrive, but I assure you this a must see experience and we were very safe. These people better leave this River alone.
