We plummeted the team at The Oxygen Therapy Centre into Russ Allchin's ice bath in the name of Wim Hof. Through focusing on breathing techniques and cold water exposure, Russ specialises in introducing people to the many health benefits associated with his practise.

In return, Lisa and Collette introduced Russ to their pressurised chamber, which delivers high quantities of oxygen to relieve chronic pain, illnesses and physical injuries.

When we went to print, a team of Jerseymen were readying themselves for their performance, at the annual Round Table Ball. With Bergerac set to return shortly, they felt it was only fitting it should get the Round Table treatment first.

Viv le Vav moved to Berlin, Germany in 2017. Originally from Jersey, he now lives in
a yurt he built himself, in a woodsy commune of like-minded people near Weißensee in the former East. He acknowledges that his lifestyle is not typical – for the city, or in general. “If you talk to anyone that moves to Berlin now, what won't come to their mind is people living in caravans or yurts or squats. But I think from living in this way, I've connected more with people".

Jersey born Liam Mitchell lived in Berlin between 2014 and 2023, honing in on the city for its reputation as a Mecca for techno clubs and DJing. Alongside producing music and playing gigs, he supported himself with freelance writing work. Currently based back on island, he sat down with Viv le Vav to discuss the differences and parallels of their respective journeys.

In recent years the world hasn't just embraced individuality - it's stuck it in neon lights, blasted it on a sonos roam and handed it a pair of oversized sunglasses. Thanks to woke culture, Gen Z flair, and the internet's knack for being louder than your mum's rampant rabbit during EastEnders, the message is clear: it's cool to be different. Social media took that message and turned the volume up to 11, plastering timelines with freak flags waving higher than a cheerleader at sports day - complete with glitter and the occasional existential crisis.

Damien Philpott discusses this whilst styling the hair for a shoot that celebrates music, fashion and local creativity. Big thanks to Oliver and Ani Lu Doran for respectively capturing and styling the shoot, Skye Channing for makeup, and Savannah, Piper and Lauma for being top tier models. Not to forget Paul Sharkey at , who welcomed the team into his studio, giving them full access to his equipment.

The two masters of all things hirsute worked together on the ever-patient , to create a style that would make waves in any setting. A last minute rush around some of the island's jewellers put the icing on the cake, assorted and styled by photographer Danny Evans.

Macmillan Cancer Support held Jersey’s first ever White Collar DJ Event, piling over 200 attendees to The L’Horizon. It was a night of electrifying performances, as seven dedicated participants showcased their newfound DJ skills, honed during an eight week intensive training course.

Congrats to Finley McKay, who won the night, and to Ashbe and Macmillan for making the amazing evening possible.

Stan’s Cafe is at Capital House, bringing abstract statistics to life with grains of rice. Each grain is equivalent to one person, coming together to create a landscape of human statistics. The performance is unique in that it is tailored to every location it travels to. “The show’s deceptive simplicity engages people of all ages and backgrounds, causing them to reflect on their place in the world.” - Centre for the Arts Wesleyan University ‘Of All The People In All The World’ is being hosted by ArtHouse Jersey between 18th Sept - 6th Oct.
