It's a completely non verbal role, all you'd need to do is bring the smiles whilst enjoying an afternoon on one of our stunning beaches! If you're interested, we'd love to hear from you!

Christmas comes but once a year... Which coincidentally is about how often I post! But it's time to crawl out of my animation cave to say what a pleasure it's been working on this project for Visit Jersey.

Working alongside the talented videographers Callum Thorne Film Maker - Photographer and Bam Perspectives - Jersey, we wanted to bring a little bit of Santa magic to our fair island this Christmas!

A lot of blood sweat and tears went into this project and I'm stoked I finally get to share it with you all!

Who's this guy!? I've never done anything like this before so probably long overdue, but this is me! The man behind PTF Motion, looking all moody and serious(ish). I've got a new site, a new reel (available to view on said site) so I thought I'd get a little head shot in there too to say heyyyy! A few things about me... (that's what you do with these posts right?)
I'm a big ol' nerd from the island of Jersey. I love rolling dice around a table with mates, good food and drink and much to my wife's dismay, a good bit of slapstick humour! Oh also I'm an animator. I guess that bits important too!

Had such a blast animating this and am truly stoked to be a part of this great event even in this small way. I like to try living as eco friendly as I can and using my skills to promote events encouraging others to do so feels like a big achievement.

It's been a long time in the works, but today I can finally share what I've been working on with Healing Waves - Ocean Therapy .

Being my first project in Moho - Complete Animation Software, there was alot of learning on the job with this project, but my eyes have now been opened to a beautiful new bit of software!

Gus and this project have been through alot of iterations since their conception and I couldn't be more stoked with end result.

Huge thanks to Kayleigh Webster , who is largely responsible for how awesome this project looks! Although Gus was my own original character created for Healing Waves, Kayleigh took my original design and turned it up to 11, creating a whole strew of great characters and scenery to bring Gus' world to life!

Different mouth shapes, for different... Needs! Gus is going to be doing a fair amount of talking, so best he can do so with a full range of mouth shapes!

The key to a versatile character rig is planning ahead... Before Gus got taken into Moho Studio to rig and animate I created a few reference sheets for Gus in different states! What's your favourite gus face?
Edit: I realise I have mislabelled confusion as contempt! (I'm an animator not a copy writer! 😂)

Isolation Creation Highlights

Back in April ArtHouse Jersey, alongside Will Bertram, created a 19-day drawing challenge designed around the new world COVID-19 had created.

It was a great exercise in staying creative when we were all confined indoors and it was amazing to discover so many other local artists that got involved.

World Ocean Day for Schools

It was such a pleasure to get to be part of World Ocean Day for Schools this year!

I love animation and I love the oceans, so getting to use my skills as an animator to spread a message of protection and conservation is a dream!!

Three weeks ago we brought you a festival celebrating our Ocean connection - World Ocean Day for Schools 2020! Tens of thousands of families and schools got dressed up in blue and immersed themselves in a jam packed day of Ocean learning. Here is a look back at an incredible day.

World Oceans Day might only be once a year, but it's important to remember how vital the oceans are to a happy healthy planet all year round! Did you know that every second breath comes from the ocean? 💙🌊

Alongside protect.blue, using the awesome illustrations of Miscellaneous Adventures I created this animated breathing exercise to help you stop and relax whilst highlighting how important the oceans are for generating the clean air we need to breathe!

World Ocean Day for Schools

The ability to breath clean air is a pretty important one for us life forms here on planet earth!

Breathing deeply can help us to feel happy, healthy and relaxed and the ocean has a big part to do with the fresh air that we breathe.

Follow along with this 1 minute breathing session that I animated with protect.blue and Miscellaneous Adventures and maybe check out some of the other workshops and exercises offered up by World Ocean Day for Schools as part of their World Ocean Day digital festival.

Pollinators in Decline

A short segment from my recent work with The Pollinator Project Group .The Pollinator Project aims to increase awareness of what we can all do to help contribute to the protection and enhancements of habitats for pollinators.

With the lockdown, we've personally been getting stuck into a little bit of balcony gardening in hopes of trying our own little safe haven for the pollinators.
