This year, here in Italy, there's going to take place the Mordheim World Tournament. 100 players from all over the world will clash for 2 days! And I'm going to be among them! 🤩
I just can't express my excitement! The warband selection was carried out based on their background and apparently mine was judged worthy 🔥🔥🔥
My Marienburg warband, led by the mentally unstable Goffredo il Fortunato (Goffredo the Lucky) is going to fight in the coolest event ever!

Demo game . Altar of the Dead Gods is a skirmish combat game developed by and distributed by . The fight takes place in a sort of catacomb where ancient deities have been buried and long forgotten. But now the temple has been rediscovered and many factions fight to gain the attention of these gods (or to try to erase them from this world!). Take control of the Hunters, the Church, the Witches, the Vampires, the Cultists, the Deep Ones or (my favourite) the Decadent Waltz. Each one of them has a unique game style, emphasized by a "trait" you can choose to personalise your gang even further. It's a miniature agnostic game too, so you can use your favourite models. Clearly, my Decadent Waltz uses minis from my Patricians from Carnevale by . 😎😎😎
The models shown are from various companies, including , , restattica, .
A special thank you goes to who wonderfully covered this game on their YouTube channel! Bravo Mattia!

Yesterday night was Mordheim night at . My undead won the clash only because some goats started to think they were going to stink more than usual: to that moment my vampire had been kicked in the fangs. I've been reeeeeally lucky this time. Our local campaign continues, with bretonnians routed by some very stubborn reiklanders. See you next week!

It's that time of the year again— is back! I’m no artist, far from being a professional painter (whom I both admire and envy), but I wanted to share a quick recap of the projects I loved the most this year. These have been milestones in my hobby journey. In no particular order:

My FDM 3D-printed gnome army from : My trusty, shroom-crazed gnomes, always ready to fight knights at in Venice.

Stone Trolls: A tribute to my love for classic miniatures. These are some of the most iconic models ever made—hands down. Thank you, ! These guys will see plenty of action in games like and

Magnus & Invictus: My first models for Warmachine MK4 by . They symbolize the return of Warmachine to my gaming group at .

Dropfleet Commander by : As a fan of naval combat and spaceships, picking up this game has been a dream come true. Huge thanks to TTCombat for creating (and improving, with version 2.0) such an amazing game.

Rumbleslam: The Plague: This game is a hidden gem! With simple, fun rules, it’s been a blast. These new minis were the final push I needed to dive headfirst into the game.

Maladum by : A commission I absolutely enjoyed. Working with is always a pleasure, and thanks to Andrea, I had the opportunity to attend both and Milano Wargames as a seller—a new and exciting experience! Thanks to these events, I also met Thank you, my friends!

The Rialto Bridge: My most ambitious project ever, brought to Milano Wargames. This wouldn’t have been possible without my friends from and especially .paints. Matteo, working with you this year has been a joy, and together we've seen the Italian Carnevale community grow. You're the best!

"Instead of victories like this, I'd rather prefer a thousand defeats" -Admiral Joel Kenmann, after receiving reports from the battle of Ceruxis.

Yesterday's gaming night at Ultima Alleanza Wargame Padova was an absolute blast! My UCM fleet battled against some vicious scourge (yes, all of them are Scourge. No Bioficers there, you're mistaken!) led by Claudio.

I brought in the "wrong" gaming mat, just a 90x90, that produced an extremely tense and brutal game. Not all mistakes are bad things after all!

All in all, my fleet had been murdered by naughty, evil oculus beam arrays but I managed to bombard enough of those pesky Scourge troops to ensure victory. May the Glasgow class always be blessed 😇😇😇.

In the end just my Limas, Glasgows and Venice flagship survived - badly damaged, too! Extremely fun game!

Hello, folks!
The Monsters are back in full force to invite you to our (already!) annual Christmas Painting Challenge! Joining us today is the amazing Jon, one of the most talented painters in our community. Inspired by his article recently published on TTCommunity, Jon is launching this fun, friendly challenge.

You'll find all the details in this episode (yes, we’re making you listen to our senseless ramblings—bwahaha!), but here’s a quick recap of the important deadlines:

15th January 2025: Last day to enter the challenge. Send three pictures of your painted miniatures to [email protected].

27th January to 2nd February: Public poll on the Carnevale Facebook group to select the winner from Jon's top three picks.

Enjoy the show, and happy painting!

Since my good friend bought a starter set and decided to play Bioficers (basically, evil sci-fi ChatGPT after he gave it his bank account details!), I swooped in to help Gian get rid of the UCM part of the box.

I wanted to try something new and something old too, so I built a Moskva... sorry, Vilnius-class heavy cruiser (to keep all kinds of space bugs at bay) and a couple of glorious Glasgow-class cruisers. Because if you can't secure that dropsite, BOMB IT OUT OF EXISTENCE! 😈😈😈

Right now, they're just under a layer of grey primer, but soon they'll proudly join my fleet. Clearly, I MUST paint some white and blue details on the pair of Glasgows. . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I didn't show anything about my completed Rialto Bridge before today because I felt I hadn't the setting to show it off properly. My friends from provided exactly that: an immersive, huge and utterly stunning place where to put the bridge on. I'm feeling so proud of this setting! Even if we leave more than 2 and half hours away, we managed to make a Carnevale board that is going to be remembered! They've been able to run 3 to 4 demos at the same time on that board 😱

Thanks guys!
See you soon!

The question now is.... where's the bridge going to go? 😉😉😉

My Maladum painting commission is finally complete! Maladum: Dungeons of Enveron is the starter box for the Maladum game system by Battle Systems. This game takes players into a fantasy world where exploration, epic battles, and legendary deeds are the bread and butter of heroic adventurers!

Lead a party of heroes and explore this amazing universe! The box includes 7 characters (who can also be used as NPCs, true to the best RPG traditions!) ready to face the evil Malagaunt and his vile undead. But beware: the dungeons aren’t just home to Malagaunt’s creations! Many other creatures lurk and hunt in the underground depths.

I hope Andrea from (my commissioner) is happy with how these models turned out ❤️. VEA Editori is the Italian distributor for products, and these miniatures will be showcased at Milano Wargames 2024. See you there!

Painting is relaxing, ISN'T IT?!? 🤯🤯🤯

This is a painting commission for my friend from . This little big company specializes in translation and distribution of wargames into the Italian market. I contributed to Andrea's projects helping him with the revision of and now Maladum from .
This game continues their previous one (Core Space), being set in the same universe but with some fantasy vibes. It's a dungeon crawler with an emphasis on exploration and character development. You can even recruit bystander characters! It's a sort of glorified heroquest!

My deadline is at the end of November, just in time to have a demo box available for Milano Wargames 2024!
