The short answer to the questions above is NO! Sorry …
You should either wear a formal suit or - if you want to be very proper - a morning suit (Tight) .
Traditionally, tuxedos are reserved for very formal events, such as black-tie affairs. If the wedding invitation specifies a black-tie dress code, then wearing a tuxedo would be entirely appropriate and even expected.
However, if the wedding is more casual or if the dress code is not specified, wearing a tuxedo may be seen as overly formal and could potentially draw attention away from the couple. 👰 🤵🏼♂️

The origin of the Blazer
The blazer, like the majority of menswear, comes from the military world, more precisely from the British Navy.
Before the severe regulations on equipment and uniform were introduced, it was the duty of the captain to choose the outfit of his crew; it was precisely for this reason that in 1837 the Captain HMS Blazer, knowing that he would have been visited by Queen Victoria, decided to make his soldiers wearing a blue double-
breasted jacket with black buttons and sided slits.
By the time, it became an essential part of sailors’ uniform.
There is a second version on the invention of the blazer, which is more about the sporting world: it is said that the double-breasted jacket was the jacket used by the rowing team of Cambridge, in a bright red color, to symbolize the ardor of those who wore it featuring the emblem of the college on the pocket.
Considered a symbol of excellence and elite, the blazer is now a semi informal jacket, a must in men’s wardrobe.

It depends
Black is the most formal colour, but you need to ask yourself what the intended event is. If you are talking about a formal event (dress code: black tie) , a black suit is appropriate .
If you are talking about business-date, a charcoal or navy suit is perfect (with black shoes, of course).

3 Common Mistakes to Avoid When Wearing a Suit 👔
1) Wrong Jacket Length
Everything else can be perfect, but get the length of your jacket wrong and it wrecks the whole suit. To eliminate such risks, simply put your arms down at your side and let them hang naturally. If you’ve got the right size, the bottom of your jacket should end where your thumb knuckle is.
2) Getting the Wrong Sleeve Length
Easy to perfect, yet often overlooked, your sleeve length plays a key part in the overall look of the suit. To get it right, a half-inch of shirt sleeve should be protruding from the end of your jacket; anymore, it’s too short, any less and it’s too long.
3) Wrong Trouser Length
whilst the ‘proper’ trouser length is a matter of much discussion, ultimately there are two options to ensure you get it right. 1. No break – where the trouser leg just grazes the top of your shoe. Or, 2. Slight break – a little longer. Opt for either of these and you’re on your way to sartorial greatness.
🇬🇧 Suit’s Ideal Proportions
A suit with balanced, classic proportions is generally the most flattering suit, since it considers the wearer’s body first and foremost.
About the jacket:
For most people, the bottom of the jacket lines up with the thumb knuckle. This length keeps the body looking balanced;
About the trousers:
The trouser rise should also correspond to the jacket’s button stance so that the shirt and tie don’t show below that jacket’s fastened button. It makes the suit look more fluid and the whole body look taller and slimmer.

That’s my favorite one: Four-in-Hand Knot Steps 👔
How to do:
1) To complete this knot, raise the shirt collar and drape the tie around the neck so the wide end is on the right side and extends roughly 12 inches below the narrow end.
2)Bring the wide part of the tie across the narrow part.
3) Then bring the wide part under the narrow part.
4) Bring the wide side back over the top of the narrow part.
5) Bring the wide side up through the large loop at the neck.
6) With a loose hold on the knot, insert the wide end in a downward direction through the loop in front.
7) Holding the bottom narrow part of the tie with one hand, slide the knot upward with the other until neat and snug. Lower the shirt collar to complete the look.
