Today I made a procedural blender node that generates tentacles suckers on a curve so it can be twisted and moved around. I should improve it a little but it starts to looks good!
I also made the body look a little bit shapely removed the makeup a improved the face proportions.
Now I must work a lot on the hair... 🤩

I'm intensively testing the new Blender hair curves combined with shape keys, rigging and animation.
I was able to realize it in one day thanks to the great tools Blender offers natively, many things can be improved (in my work and on the hair tools too!) but for now I'm happy with it.

Stranger Things automata v1.0
Stranger Things automata v1.0 "Max's eyes turn white as she looks the other way" . A lot of experimentation in this clip! First things first I composed the audio clip to avoid copyright infringement 😄 in the next version I'll add the sound of a music box which will be more consistent with the animation atmosphere. The low-poly mesh it has been further modified using a decimate modifier, I love the messy result. For the animation I was inspired by the movements of old automata, a modifier applied to the rotation curve of the heads did the trick. I rendered the scene using EEVEE otherwise it would have taken an hour and a half to render. No way. 😆 A volumetric shape helped to add an odd atmosphere and soften out the rendered images. A vignette and noise (to improve further in next versions) have been added in compositing post-processing.
