🔥 Hey Heavy Metal Soldiers ! 🔥
🇫🇷 Après quelques semaines de repos et une édition 2024 incroyable, l'équipe de Pyrenean Metal s'est remise au travail pour vous concocter ce P.W.O.A IX qui se déroulera le 13 Septembre 2025 sur le magnifique site de Juhègues à Torreilles. Les 3 premiers groupes annoncés sont:

⚔️ Q5 (🇺🇸)
Formé en 1983 par la rencontre de membres des groupes C.O.R.E. (dont le guitariste Floyd Rose, inventeur du fameux vibrato Tremolo Lock qui porte son nom) et TKO, Q5 se fait rapidement remarquer sur les scènes locales par leur brillant mélange entre pur Hard Rock 70's et Heavy Metal US. Le groupe enregistre rapidement son premier album “Steel The Light” en 1984, qui leur vaut un gros succès critique et l'attention des gros labels. Q5 commence à tourner intensément en première partie de Lita Ford et Twisted Sister, et sort son second disque “When The Mirror Cracks” en 1986. Malheureusement, des tensions internes trop fortes amènenet le départ de Floyd Rose la même année, suivi du split du groupe dans la foulée. Les membres restants fondent de nouveaux goupes, notamment Nightshade, mais aucun n'arrive à obtenir le succès de Q5. C'est finalement suite à une proposition du festival Headbangers Open Air que les musiciens décident de se remettre ensemble en 2009. S'en suivront des participations à de nombreux festivals, puis la sortie d'un troisième disque “New World Order” en 2016. Aujourd'hui composé du chanteur d'origine Jonathan Scott K. et d'un nouveau line-up rassemblé en 2020, Q5 débarque pour la première fois à Torreilles pour nous régaler avec leurs grands classiques comme “The Right Way” ou “Living On The Borderline”. Une occasion unique de voir un groupe qui influença de grands nom comme Great White (US) ou Wolf (Swe).
⚔️ SAVAGE OATH (🇺🇸)
Vous voulez de l'épique ? Vous n'en avez pas encore eu assez avec les prestations précédentes de Manilla Road, Atlantean Kodex ou Eternal Champion ? Parce qu'en 2025, Toreilles va être agressée par 4 Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse qui n'ont pas l'intention de faire de quartier ! Réunion du trio d'enfer composé du chanteur Brendan Radigan (Sumerlands, Pagan Altar ou encore Magic Circle), du guitariste Leeland Campana (Visigoth) et du bassiste Phil Ross (Manilla Road, Ironsword) auquel s'est associé le batteur Austin Wheeler, Savage Oath a fait une grande sensation avec son EP éponyme en 2023. Mais ce n'était rien comparé au choc que fût leur tout premier album “Divine Battles” sorti en 2024 : voilà du pur Heavy Metal épique comme seules les Etats-Unis savent en produire, et Savage Oath est rapidement devenu un nom à suivre pour tout amateur de Twisted Tower Dire ou même Megaton Sword. Préparez-vous à l'impact, car Savage Oath n'a l'intention de faire aucun prisonnier et qu'ils viennent écraser toute concurrence européenne !
⚔️STAR RIDER (🇫🇷)
En France, on n'a pas de pétrole mais on commence à avoir un bon paquet de nouveaux jeunes groupes de Heavy Metal. Fondé en 2021, le groupe comprend en son sein notamment des membres de Electric Shock, ce qui est déjà un gage de qualité. Après un premier EP éponyme chez Steel Shark Records en 2022 qui leur a permis de se faire un nom, le groupe a posé ses roubignoles sur la table pour son premier album “Outta Time” en 2024 qui les a rapidement fait comparer à Enforcer par la presse internationale, mais aussi à Traitor's Gate, Tyson Dog et même Cage. Autant dire que si vous aimez les riffs assassins et les refrains vénéneux à base d'alcool, de s*xe et de rock n' roll, vous allez être servi tellement Star Rider maîtrise son sujet et sait proposer un Hard n' Heavy de qui vous collera un torticolis de derrière les fa**ts tellement vous allez secouer votre tête !

Q5-Steel and Light Savage Oath Star Rider

⚔️ Q5 (🇺🇸)
Formed in 1983 by the meeting of members of the bands C.O.R.E. (including guitarist Floyd Rose, inventor of the famous Tremolo Lock vibrato which bears his name) and TKO, Q5 quickly stood out on local scenes with their brilliant mix between pure 70's Hard Rock and US Heavy Metal. The group quickly records its first album “Steel The Light” in 1984, which earned them great critical success and the attention of major labels. Q5 began touring intensively as the opening act for Lita Ford and Twisted Sister, and released their second record “When The Mirror Cracks” in 1986. Unfortunately, excessive internal tensions led to the departure of Floyd Rose the same year, followed by the split of group immediately. The remaining members founded new bands, notably Nightshade, but none managed to achieve the success of Q5. It was finally following a proposal from the Headbangers Open Air festival that the musicians decided to get back together in 2009. This was followed by participation in numerous festivals, then the release of a third album “New World Order” in 2016. Do you want it epic? Haven't had enough with previous performances from Manilla Road, Atlantean Kodex or Eternal Champion yet? Because in 2025, ears will be attacked by 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse who have no intention of giving any quarter! Reunion of the incredible trio composed of singer Brendan Radigan (Sumerlands, Pagan Altar or Magic Circle), guitarist Leeland Campana (Visigoth) and bassist Phil Ross (Manilla Road, Ironsword) joined by drummer Austin Wheeler, Savage Oath made a big sensation with their eponymous EP in 2023. In France, we don't have oil but we're starting to have a good number of new young Heavy Metal bands. Founded in 2021, the group includes members of Electric Shock, which is already a guarantee of quality. After a first eponymous EP on Steel Shark Records in 2022 which allowed them to make a name for themselves, the group put their work on the table for their first album “Outta Time” in 2024 which quickly made them compare to Enforcer by the international press, but also to Traitor's Gate, Tyson Dog and even Cage. Suffice to say that if you like killer riffs and poisonous choruses based on alcohol, s*x and rock n' roll, you will be served as Star Rider masters its subject and knows how to offer a Hard n' Heavy that will stick with you a stiff neck fromhow hard you will bang your head !
