November 12 marks the the 4th Anniversary of 's "Shock to The System" release, and never an album's title sounded more appropriate...
Then early this year, "Let There Be Dark" has been released... And we are of course very thankful to for including the album in their 2025-Top40 list.
(It's weird to see Cruz Del Sur Music listed among corporate labels)

In the mid 80s, ASTAROTH was one of the brightest stars of European Heavy Metal. With their original, ahead-of-its-time sound, they were the first Italian band ever to sign a deal with a foreign label. After years spent honing their craft both in the rehearsal room and the stage, “The Long Loud Silence” was released by Dutch entity Rave On Records. Suddenly the metal community knew that even a peripheral country like Italy could produce some fresh and brilliant Heavy Metal! A large part of this credit goes to Jack Haustinx, the eclectic boss of Rave On Records, who had the incredible intuition of signing Mercyful Fate, Sortilege, and H-Bomb among others.

The story of Astaroth is not one with a happy ending, as told by the band’s members in their own words within the liner notes accompanying this reissue. They definitely deserved the chance of recording a full album which never happened. Nevertheless, their legacy lives on in the hearts of old (and hopefully new!) fans. The story of five young kids from the Eternal City, who dressed as Roman soldiers out to conquer their portion of glory on the battlefield of Heavy Metal. This release is a tribute to one of the most influential and potentially ground-breaking bands to ever emerge from Italy. LEGIONS WANNA FIGHT! Long live Astaroth!

Coming December 17th, "The Long Loud Silence" will be released on both Black vinyl(With an 8-page booklet and A2 poster. Limited to 500 copies) and for the first time, CD( with 16-page booklet)! Both versions include 3 bonus demo tracks.
