The original archetype of a wounded healer comes from Greek mythology and the story of a wounded yet immortal centaur Chiron and refers to using one’s trauma and pain as knowledge on how to help others.

Healing is political, collective, and cyclical.

Today marks the release of 'Chleb' by featuring .

'Chleb' is the opening single from Mala Herba’s sophomore album, Wounded Healer, which will be released by White Forest Inc. on September 21, 2024.

Mala Herba is the solo project of producer, sound artist, and q***r activist Zosia Holubowska. Their practice is deeply rooted in Slavic archaic music, and their artistic approach can be described as q***ring archives by reimagining traditional melodies and magical tropes. Their productions are multi-layered narratives that function as healing rituals.

klang: hyperstition [WFI006] out on 20/12. “Hyperstition: a cultural belief (especially a work of fiction) that makes itself real; a cultural self-fulfilling prophecy where some cultural idea or hype truly brings about the thing it describes.” Back to the pandemic era, when @thisis.klang still used to have its physical venue which had to stay closed for entire months, we started re-thinking that space as a living and breathing environment, with its own voice and its specific sound identity. A free ecosystem where ideas could grow and develop spontaneously, with all their endemic power. This is why we started recording stuff using KLANG not just as a “live studio”, but as an instrument, a creative tool, a shrine and a musician itself. The most interesting output of these sessions has been an impro-concept-suite developed around the philosophical notion of “hyperstition”, impro-live performed by artists such as: 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐄𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐋𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐨, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐢, 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞.
