The sound of - The Roland Jupiter 6. This beast of a synth was used on many tracks of the album and provides almost always the sequenced bass foundation of the tracks. 'Red Dragon' is a good example of this.

This is a classic synth used also by It is used by Orbital, Moby, Überzone, Devo, BT, The Prodigy, Vangelis, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, ZZ Top, Duran Duran and many others over the years.

The sounds of : One of the most used synthesizers on "Leave a Message" was the DX7IID.
Layered sounds like 'Owl Bass' or the classic 'E. Piano', and 'Fretless 1' are an integral part of the sound of this album.
