The appeal court of Nigeria, in their landmark judgment in 2023, ordered the Nigerian government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally, but the Nigerian government refused, thereby going against their laws.
Since the last court sitting where Mazi Nnamdi Kanu asked Justice Binta Nyako to rescue herself from the case, sighting the Chief Justice's refusal to obey the Supreme Court judgement on his case.
Since then, we have been getting information from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's lawyers that the Nigerian DSS have restricted everyone, including his lawyers, from getting access to him.
Every ordeal passed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the hands of the Nigerian government proves him right in wanting his people to leave Nigeria. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has insisted that his people should be given the right to determine their right to self-determination through a plebiscite.
We will keep standing for the rights of all against every threat to it.
