To celebrate 60 years of Sino-French diplomatic relations, the Comité Colbert, France’s esteemed luxury association, hosted the exhibition Jeux de Mains: A Franco-Chinese Artisanal Garden in Zhangyuan, Shanghai. This exhibition showcased a captivating fusion of French artisanal mastery and Chinese craftsmanship, offering visitors a truly unique and enchanting experience that highlighted the rich heritage and mutual respect between these two cultures.

WDCC 2024 Fashion Forum Review

This year marks BETWEEN RESEARCH 25th anniversary as a professional consulting firm specializing in the fashion industry.

On September 30th, we hosted an insightful forum at the World Design Capital Conference (WDCC), focusing on the dual paths of fashion brand expansion. More specifically, our general manager for China .ding shared insights on the three stages of upgrading a brand’s internationalization strategy and outlined methods for achieving brand internationalisation through four key areas:
•capital upgrading
•product upgrading
•brand upgrading
•organizational strategy

Experts from URBAN REVIVO, ISABEL MARANT, R Capital, and BUYQUICKLY have partaken to the event as well.

Other key discussions revolved around talent integration, cultural alignment, investment opportunities, and leveraging e-commerce for global success.

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”

The Power Station of Art (PSA) brought back to life her designs with the exhibition “Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto” from July 11 to November 24, 2024.
Designed by Diller Scofidio and Renfro, the exhibit encompasses Chanel’s signature minimalist aesthetic, with a focus on her techniques and materials.

Two main chapters structure the visit. The first part of the exhibition, showing Chanel’s creations from the 1910s to the 1930s,focuses on the creative concepts of simplicity, youth, dynamism and charm. The second part, covering Chanel’s creations from the 1950s until her last collection in 1971, showcases a more mature, elegant aesthetic.

With over 200 works on display, “Fashion Manifesto” highlights Chanel’s unparalleled and coherent pursuit of creation with self-renewal. From clothing, beauty products, accessories, jewelry, and perfumes, Chanel has disrupted female’s fashion.

As visitors, we have been incredibly inspired and reminded that timeless fashion is incredibly contemporary and that Chanel’s statement stays relevant nowadays, even more so.
