Ms Bowjangles is a new family of luminaires that includes a floor lamp, an XL version and wall versions. Its distinctive curve is formed by a spring steel core wrapped in colourful fabric, the seemingly effortless cable rising and dancing around a 1.40 metre high metal rod.
This movement results in a striking shade that exudes an elegant, almost futuristic aesthetic.
The dynamic nature of the design is anchored
in its ever-swinging construction, where the asymmetrical silhouette, with its clean lines and harmonious curves, gives the impression that the cable embraces the shade. An optical illusion, the shade appears to be supported solely by the winding of the cable.

Monika Sosnowska's solo show
'BROKEN GLASS, DIRT AND DUST'
continues at
Osborne Street gallery space.

Collectively, the works in the show demonstrate a shift towards more poetic and figurative concerns rather than direct references to the built environment and Modernist construction. Sosnowska anthropomorphises her modest materials, creating evocative humanoid and plant-like forms: a section of cut pipe resembles mushrooms or leaves composed from torn paper; a warped metal shape appears as a fragment of a discarded machine; twisted rebar and concrete passages recall crumpled fragments of antique sculpture.

"This series came about after reading about Pythagoras in his understanding that a form of music resonates from the movement of the celestial bodies.
When you meditate on the center, the blue bands begin to emanate outwards toward the warmer colors and the green-golds on the outer bands create a calm that you feel in nature".

The new Harpe collection by comes from the childhood memory of its designer, Christian Lava.
Like most children, he would look up into the sky and visualize shapes in the clouds as they passed along. His active imagination would run wild with the fantastic things that would emerge.
One day, Christian looked up into the sky only to see a grey, leaden blanket of clouds. However, against this blank canvas, a break in the sky appeared and bright sunlight came streaming down in rays reminiscent of a harp.
It’s the memory of this divine instrument that inspired our latest pendant, Harpe. Made of metal, Harpe is available in three different shapes and sizes and can be assembled in infinite combinations.
